southern oscillation = ENSO = -ve effect on Indian monsoon and low southern oscillation means ENSO is weak then its effect on Indian monsoon becomes weak or it can't affect Indian monsoon. So the answer will be C that is only 2 and 3

During el-nino,why does the low pressure air shift towards south America. As we know south America Experiences cold peru current which Creates high pressure. Then why does old Peru current become warmer during el-Niño. Please clarify my doubt.

Mishti , El nino and la Nina are very complicated events ...they are the result of strength of trade winds 💨 1. Trade wind is weak ...that will allow the WPP to shift towards South America (El nino) 2. Trade winds strong ...WATER shifts towards Australia La nina Rember : El nino and La nina are cyclic events ...often termed as dance between ocean and atmosphere Note: Peru current remains cold only ...it is the WPP which shifts towards SA and creates L.P

With due respect, I want to correct only one thing. Air didn't decent due to high pressure. It need to tell ; because of high temp air ascend and low pressure generated and vice- versa. Overall lecture was nice.
