El Valle $450 House Rental? Las Mozas River walk. 

After watching one of your videos and dozens by Jacky, I bought her guide, booked a flight, and spent a week in Panama, the first stop in Panama City. I was very impressed by the Metro subway, but not much else. Filthy streets, a terrible smell of diesel from all of the traffic, and extremely unsafe streets and sidewalks. Who on earth would place slippery ceramic tile on exterior steps and sidewalks in an environment that gets constant rain? I guess Panama City doesn't have any laws about this or there are no slip-and-fall, attorneys. Next stop Las Tablas and Playa Uverito. Beautiful Beach although somewhat deserted and sweltering. I was going to Pedasi, but after watching your video My gut told me to go to El Valle. I booked 2 days at Los Aramos. I have traveled all over South America, the States, and Europe. I can tell you that I have NEVER seen or felt anything near the Beauty and Peace that El Valle and especially Los Aramos provides. The owner " Carlos" and I had long conversations. I am fully bilingual having lived in Venezuela when I was a kid. I am scouting places to retire, Panama is not right for me. I was very blessed to have had the opportunity to see El Valle. I just pray that some developer doesn't go there and knock down the beauty that it is. El Valle doesn't need a Wendy's, Burger King, Mcdonald's, KFC, Domino, Pizza Hut Little Caesars Subway, or Starbucks ETC, It seems that's all they are building not only in Panama but all over the world. One last thought. I said that I am fully bilingual and I am English is my first language (New Jersey) and Spanish is my second language (Venezuela 1970-1973). While there I was placed in a Venezuelan school and had no choice but to learn to read write and speak Spanish. The key word there is speak-communicate. In Venezuela at that time when you were in school, at a restaurant, at a party, at work, in a Taxi, a bus, or a train people spoke to one another. They socialized. Everyone and all ages. There was poverty but still, people spoke to one another, greeted one another, and helped one another. It's different now. Why? The DRUG OF CHOICE...The Cell phone. And this is not just Panama. While at the hotels, or on a train or bus the one common denominator was people ( mostly under 50) were all staring at their cell phones. No one was speaking to each other. You didn't hear laughter or see smiles just blank stares into their phones. No matter the level of poverty, every kid on the bus or in a store had a cell phone. Now instead of developing social skills or (for the ex-pats) LEARNING A NEW LANGUAGE you simply use Google Translate. What a sad, sad trend. The saddest part is that when I spoke to young adults and some kids, their dream was to finish school and go to the Land of Opportunity. I asked them where is the land of opportunity? There used to be one that I grew up in ...but that changed a long time ago. People are now leaving the Land of opportunity and trying to find a place where they can relax, live, and enjoy life. If those "kids" would just put down the cell phone and look around they would see that they are in their land of opportunity. One last observation, while in PLaya Uverito at the Hotel, the owner (a Canadian) and I were discussing the world as it is. He told me that his last guests were a young couple. He approached them and told them that he was impressed that they were actually relaxing and having a conversation. He said all of my other guests, arrive, sit in a chair facing the water, and stare into their cell phones. So much for progress...

Hi Patti. Awesome place . I have no words to describe it. I’m living in Florida and I’m planning to go by myself at the end of January 2023 . I want to stop at El Valle for two days .
