On NG +3 I was trying out different builds on Radahn. I felt the best build was blood fiend's arm with lions claw. It felt like I was bullying Radahn. He died before he could do his meteor strike.
@@iamnoob3931 I changed it last minute from lions claw. Likely forgot to replace it out. There’s 6 builds, but you can easily just replace that talisman.
Thank you man the blasphemous Blade worked for me, I tried for 3 hours different builds. I did not notice that fire DMG affeects him more in phase 3, with your config I killed him in less than 5 tries. Thanks a lot!!
I'm always amazed at how much offensive you can put into your build. On NG8, if I don't have 3000 hp and 66% resists, I get oneshot by pretty much everything in this DLC. =C
I suppose that would work best. Requires perfect timing, though. One misparry and you're toast. I used the shieldpoke build to defeat him, but it takes foreeever!
I am in ng5+ and I am trrying to beat him with Ansbar and Thiolier with the back blade dex build and it is nearly impossible. I managed a draw kill but the game did not give me the win lol, I wish I had it on video, it was epic.
Definitely think the parry guide would be an invaluable resource--it seems like being able to parry his combos from any stage of them is key to victory, having been working on Parrying him myself. Still haven't beat him, yet but I have phase 1 down pretty well.
Final beat that bastard with an over powered magic build. Changed my build twice and got killed at least 70 to 100 times. I am fucking free 🤩😭. I would mind I beat most of the other bosses less than 5-15 try’s. I don’t know if I could beat him again.
I used the sword lance with fingerprint shield- went defensive with him. The lance had blood infinity. Tried to use the thorns spell but couldn’t get it off quick
@@AverageGamerMatt I’m a type that feels do whatever it takes to win lol- a win is a win if it’s by 2 or 20. Just glad to get through the game- it was an awesome DLC. Just couldn’t stand the fire furnace golems
I used basically the same thing but had Godskin Sticher with Blood affinity instead. (pros: longer sword and more base damage than Sword Lance. cons: less bleed build up but still enough to proc a few times....probably equals out)
I like to have all the stuff, I am a collector... my understanding is that if you want the Thiolliers Hidden Needle you have to take him into end fight ... so you have to take in a helper if you want this at the end..
@@AverageGamerMatt well I gave up they were pulling me down so I did go in without either one and when he Radahn died the outfit was there along with the needle so guess you do not have to take them in and I had so much of an easier time without them
You do not need to summon Thiollier in the final boss fight to get his weapon, or any of his clothes or items. You'll find them on his boy regardless if he was summoned. Just make sure you've been following his quest line. Same with Ansbach and his stuff, or any npc. You do not need to summon them to get there items. Source is I have personally verified and you'll see it confirmed any wikis, like Fextralife. I too like to collect everything so I know how you feel, do not need to summon if you don't want to,
@@willquinndeb I find Ansbach and a summon can be of help if you feel like it, but it does increase his health. Even more so with Ansbach and Thiollier together, but I find Thiollier useless, which is kind of true to his character.
@@meredith18352 it takes time & patience. Took me 4 hours just to get comfortable with most of the parry windows. Try to practice his overhead & right arm swings first, as they’re the most forgiving.
I KNEW there was going to be some Ice Spear in here! He is SO fun. It is so interesting seeing what works on him and what doesn't. I've had most success using dual God Skin Peelers with Raptors of the Mist to dodge that explosion thing in phase 2. If I use Blasphemous Blade and put Raptors on a dagger in my opposite hand, I can probably get 2 attacks on him at the beginning of stage 2 when he floats up?
@@AverageGamerMatt I never ever used it until him. If you use it with a melee weapon, at the beginning of phase 2, you can just run up to him and unload while he's floating up. With the God Skin Peelers, they get 143 bleed, do some really good damage before he starts... all that crazy mess.
Actually found this video very helpful. Despite beating him a few times I still do struggle and often find myself panic rolling mostly in second phase however now he seems like he’ll be a lot more manageable. Can’t count the amount of times I thought I’d be okay making space to heal for a bit and it ending up terribly.
just finished him, all i needed was the blasphemous blade. too be fair, i only used the great sword and sometimes a shield through my entire run, so a change was bound to happen.
FINALLY a video for 150 builds. I don't want to ruin the PVP meta just to beat this boss. I started the DLC on NG+ so I'm strugglin' here...appreciate it. Not a lot of people are taking it into account that they PVP meta has NOT changed and give you level 200 builds that are silly strong. I think I will try bloodfiend's arm tonight just to see the end and then reload a PS5 cloud save and try some other builds. Appreciate it!
@jeramiebender7056 If you put the tear in your mixed physick flask, and activate the flask, you should get a 5 minute buff during which you can deflect. Deflecting involves block within 0.2 seconds of an attack landing, kinda like parrying. Doing so should totally negate physical damage taken, and give you a damage buff for a short moment. Guard breaking off the deflect works very well. If you deflect successfully within 0.2 seconds of an attack landing (any attack btw, unlike parrying which is only some attacks), you should take no damage and notice a satisfying "pling" sound.
I also didn't learned to parry until the draconic tree sentinel in fara mazul, but I very late in the game. It's my first playthrough and never picked up a shield until the sentinel, but I'll try to parry the consort too.
Make the parry build and you should include like a indicator icon when you press parry such as a button that turns green or something when you press parry such
yo bro, the blasphemous blade build destroyed him, i beat him 3rd try after using it, felt a bit cheesy idk if its considered cheese but yeah its amazing
the blasphemous blade build is *************LITERALLY************ the ONLYYYYYYYY thing that has worked for me against this mf. i was finallyyyy able to beat him with no summons using that exact build with my extra points going into mainly vigor and faith. i used everything that u did and just beat him and feel like im about to have a heart attack 😭😭
@@SupremeFazLord make sure ur at scadutree level 20 then just spam the L2. i literally never even used the regular r1 and r2 attacks i just had like 2 or 3 blue flasks and kept spamming L2 then popped a blue flask whenever i ran out of fp. before entering i popped the physic that had flame cracked tear and opaline hardtear, which both last for exactly 3 minutes, then did flame grant me strength with a +13 clawmark seal (idk if that makes a big difference or not) and then id try to get him to do his first purple charge attack so i could get a point blank on him for the 5k dmg. then if he did his slash attacks and u dodge towards him u can get another point blank for a free 10k off rip, cuz any time he would do those attacks it was a free 4-5k dmg cuz i got so used to the timing. and any time u can get a point blank it does extra damage cuz i guess it counts as the R1 damage as well as the L2 damage whenever the blade actually hits him. in the run i beat him in it only took me 4 L2 attacks with 2 of those being point blanks to get him to phase 2 in about 30 seconds, so i still had the physic effect for the rest of the fight. u just gotta keep trying till u get good rng tbh cuz i feel like my run came down to good rng and nothing else. also idk if ur using gold summons but if u are it makes him even tankier and u wont do as much dmg. i was doing around 5k per L2 point blank and then 3.7k from a distance with this exact build at scadutree level 20, 78 vig, 30 mind, 32 endurance, 22 strength, 15 dex, 7 int, 62 faith, 11 arcane. and i used the i frames of the L2 to my advantage cuz even if he hits u u can usually get the attack off + each attack heals u so id use that in place of a heal sometimes and risk it.
i have all the same stats on the blasphemous blade but i’m only doing 3200 damage how do i get to 5900 like you? i have the same build blasphemous blade +10 giant seal +25. i have all the tails men equipped. and the same memory slots. please help bro
Black knight Great shield + Royal Knights cold infused cross-naginata is what I used to bring down the prick at lvl 150. I don’t like this boss, it seems 9/10 people will need to change their entire builds just for one boss. After days of dying I gave into the cheese…
@@AverageGamerMatt I don't know. This boss is complete azz for average or below players. But each boss is different. I kick Melanias azz through ng+3 easily and this boss treats me like a punk. I get to the 2nd phase and acts like my ex wife. Scornful!
@@tdwhite3482 this is NG+, and likely frost procs and/or weapon & affinity. If you’re on NG+2 or later, he’ll have more HP. His base his 48k, maxes out at 71k on NG+7.
Impenetrable Thorns will shred him as well. I'd use it before it gets nerfed. I did respec after beating him because it's not my preferred way to play but it was fun for a second.
Worst boss in the entire series and I've been playing since Demon. Not funny, not fair and extremely frustrating if you have a normal life and cannot spend 4 h straight. It's a pity that this is the final boss of elden ring. Not even a new one.. just a new skin
I actually did this about an hour a night for a couple nights in a row. He’s honestly not that bad. Same as Malenia first time. Waterfowl is virtually undodgeable in terms of rolling.
