Holy moly it really was you Chase. I fought you in shadow keep. Your character name was Priscilla if I remember right. I was so scared when I saw the super quick full-bloom armor swap and then you stared me right in the eye and killed me while I just looked at you starstruck.
19:15 - I love how not only has Chase been buff/shielding the mobs, but now he's even body-blocking for them so they don't get hurt. And it was even a filthy wizard one too! He's reaching levels of wholesome I didn't think possible.
@@sorato6804 Exaxtly ! As fellow Faith melee/caster hybrid I feel insulted to be called a filthy WEEZARRD ! +g+ You won´t call a righteous DnD Paladin a cowardly Wizzard, right ? XD
2:10 The moment you realized poor latency fooled you and nearly ruined your fun... only to see another phantom with better connection fall to gravity death.
Exactly ! Classic anime Samurai move ! Well, originally a Akira Kurosawa move, come to think of it, but the kids likely won´t know who that was... Anyway, that was so cinematic, it made me cheer ^^
This has been my main ash on my Faith build, great HA, great damage, good distance closing capability, and gets boosted by one of the drippiest armour sets in the game
Just fyi: The ash gets a different spinning attack (Like the black knight you get it from) when you use it on a twin blade. I think it's a bit slower than using a normal sword, but hits really hard.
Okay so for anyone wondering, the bug plaguing holy damage in PvP affects the buff from the crucible set as well. You will get more damage using a physical infusion if you also plan on using this set. Spear talisman also boosts the thrust version while multihit talismans boost the twinblade version!
@@burns0100it just hasn't been fixed, that's all. Anything that buffs damage has no effect on holy damage, unless the buff has its own pvp modifier (like golden vow giving just 5% or so)
@@burns0100 Anything that buffs holy damage by a percentage just straight up doesn't work in PvP. There are some exceptions like the sacred scorpion charm but for the most part you can assume any percentual buff won't work. In Chase's example at the beginning of the video he only did around 6,7% more damage with the full set because only the physical damage on the weapon received the bonus, If it were working normally he would've received the full 15%
Yo Chase, you remember all those times in Farum Azula that one desynced dragon pushed your shit in while the host and phantoms danced around underneath it not getting hit? That bit with the invisible Deathbird that couldn’t hit you was what it’s like being on the other side of that fuckery. Nice for a change huh?
Can't believe fromsoft finally gave us access to this ability, and then had the audacity to add the npc only crucible: window licker and crucible: my little brony abilities.
Cool video! I found a neat one shot build. Heavy Messmer Soldier Great Spear, Two Hand tali, Axe tali, Spear tali, Royal Knights Resolve. The fully charged R2 is much stronger than the Lance since its a double poke and in my testing I found RKR will buff both hits for absurd damage. You could probably add exalted flesh too. ❤
A good thing to do with this ash if you want to catch someone far/walking away is turn around before using it, so your character jumping backwards actually gives you a little more distance forward
Aha! Legend! Thanks for having a go with the Wings! I had a feeling you’d enjoy the buffs. It’s way more usable now. I didn’t realise the FKGS R1 roll-caught that’s cool. I’d been using it with the Sacred Erdsteel Dagger for the double hit R2. Great vid! Nothing more terrifying than elevator desync! Catch ya next time!
This is the first time I've commented, I just wanted to say that I love the new format of your videos and I really think you're one of the best Elden ring RU-vidrs! keep up the great work ! 😊
I know I'm one video late but the Follow up of the Revenger's Blade should be a Unique Skill for the Mantis Blade instead and it should also be a paired weapon
I don't know how consistent this is but you should try getting backstabs with the Obsidian Lamina. The idea is to do just the first part of the skill to get behind your opponent and que up a backstab. Its pretty fun when you get it!
Ahh I’ve been waiting for this one. Thank you :) Also if you use this again in a faith build, could you use it on a twin blade? It gets a spinning attack.
Furious blade of ansbach and obsidian lamina would be cool! Ansbach cosplay is tough, you can't get hit, but landing that ash of war followup is so cool and you can use it to bait colossals and backstab them with an unlocked dodge
I found that the sacred scorpion charm also boosts the damage, and the gargoyles great sword is also very good, and can trick ppl into thinking your using ordovus great sword
This exact setup BUT black steel twinblade for weapon or put on spear talisman instead of two handed (doesnt affect weapon skills). It has unique running R2 as well as ash synergy 👍
I like using this ashe with the Black Steel Twinblade. Sacred scaling makes it do tons of damage, makes you spin like a badass, and if you want, you can buff/infuse it too.
Thank you for the uploads, going through a rough breakup of 3 years and watching you has helped keep my mind occupied. Keep up the good work, thank you
@@burns0100 It very much is, check out Wazeus if you doubt the free-aim throws. The trick is to throw it to the side unlocked and then instantly lock-on after, it's crazy good when you get it down.
@@jazz_tnt yeah! It's great as an offhand and at least interesting as a main hand. It moves you forwards, does pierce, and of course it has super lingering hitboxes. Definitely still slept on.
I think your intros are getting better, youre showing examples when explaining mechanics and posting hidden stats and when explaining poise breakpoints etc. Well done.
Bro, once again. I seldom leave comments but your work ethic has to be studied in a lab. Your editing keeps getting better and better and you actually have to fight and stomp some really good players in between posting these videos daily. Thank you man. I appreciate what you do.
Nice buffs.. tried wings out pre update it was... unusable lol Should try Leda's off-hand it's my favorite setup now with spear tali and halberd or cleanrot sword main hand fun swaps mixups are infinite
crazy latency on that elevator or something similar got that guy, i think when he hit the button the elevator instantly caught up to where it was on your end and the floor just dropped out on him
I have an idea for you: divine beast warrior, dex build building around Dane footwork ( divine beast frost stomp) and ZAMOR curved sword (other hands). You use raging beast talisman, kicks talismans, shard of Alexander and the rest for you, You crush you opponents under the pressure of rapid slash, kicks, and frozen storm with rapid wave of stomping ice
I think it’s just the helmet which has the bonus for this ash. It’s considered a weapon skill so high attack power split damage weapons get more out of this than metal infusions.
Every part of the set boosts the ash, holy damage is just bugged in PvP which is why the bonus seemed so low as if only 1-2 pieces buffed it on sacred infusion.
Interesting, so the sacred damage is glitched with this just like with the shard of alexander? Its honestly funny that the sacred infusion still did more damage with the ash then.
@@ChaseTheBro Yes, most things that increase damage by a % don't work. The reason you did less damage on the heavy infusion is because ashes of war/skills don't take into account the bonus you get from 2-handing.
@@anitaremenarova6662 yeah I made a mistake with reading, all pieces boost crucible incantations and the new weapon skills but not the old skills on Ordovis greatsword and Silurian Tree.
The amount of respect i have for the man and his craft is absurd, especially with the new editing style he has added with showing information he discusses
19:49 You can see the glowing eyes on the mob which means thats the stronger version. I think without the glowing eyes it would have died to the backstab already
I just got this last night. I put it on Milady. Its like wing stance without the pose and more range. I used rennallas Lgs in the left hand to replace the loss of sword dance
To perfect black flame tornado himself off the edge This ash is so beautiful and you just make it terrifying 🎉 my fav for this ash is on milady light greatsword
It's usually quite easy to tell which object is a player playing a mimic... The shading is off, dont reflect light the same way as the rest of the environment... usually just a slightly brighter shade than any similiar objects.
Btw Chase if you put the Crucible Wings on a Twin Blade, they will do a drill-like motion instead of a simple thrust, dealing multi-hit damage. might try to check it out some other time :)
Chase consistently gets the best 3 mans kills I've ever seen, just off the top of my head theres the first invasion here, and then another in front of the maliketh arena a few videos back, I'm not trying to put down other pvp cc's but chase is seriously in a league of his own, at the very least in luck with getting the opportunities to begin with, but then he capitalizes on them so well
I'm not sure how well known it is, but this ash of war has a unique interaction with twin blades, I think it might possibly be stronger than the ultra greatsword setup that way
