@@Samuel-sg2iv I really liked it, didn't find the moveset annoying at all. I liked that when it changes phases it has the same moveset (aside from a couple phase specific moves) but you have to change how you approach it because of the different effects of each phase.
Rellana on NG+7 was a big mistake... She pretty much one shots me in full Lionnel armor on 60 vig. Not ashamed for having used the help from our lovely mommy Leda. She rocks
On the Lion Dancer fight someone in chat seriously said “it took penguinz0 4 tries”. He’s not trying to learn the move set perfectly! I’ve watched Charlie play games before and he just cares about finishing and not perfecting.
I think a lot of people just don’t end up interfacing with perfume or throwing daggers because they are consumables so I think it opens it up to more people when they associate the weapon types for those things, I personally love being able to use them without worrying if I have enough!!!
The difference between using a summon and going completely solo is crazy. I beat Lion in 2 tries with Mimic and it wasn't even close the second time. The boss just thrashed the mimic for 60 seconds while I roasted it. Its like 2 different games.
I see people talk about the Boss HP in the chat: Yes. And that's where the Scadutree blessings come in. They are there to make up for the difference in power. That's why it was introduced - to still challenge people who might have been overleveled. (And Gino did miss some of the blessings before going into Rellania)
@@mr-abdullah589 Gino is using Bestial Vitality, Golden Vow, Magic Barrier and Blackflame Protection, if not she probably would do the same to him with the few scadutree levels he has here
The ash of war not so much bcs of how much the bosses move, but I power-stanced it with the solitude greatsword and it was very viable. the key to the new bosses is poise break.
Rellana is really like Malenia mixed with Rennala and also Pontiff Sullivan just for good measure I guess. Why Miyazaki... On another note the boss music in this dlc is solid af.
Not sure if Gino or Ongbal is the best ER player in the world, but it's likely one of them. Getting to watch a player of Gino's caliber struggle a bit and his process for learning the bosses has been pretty awesome.
On one Side its crazy that even Gino, the Guy who no hitted the base Game on NG+7 without any Upgrades, says the movesets are tough. But the DLC is still in its infancy so i Hope there will be strats to make this 0-Hit Run Material
See it from another perspective: FromSoft made sure our souls runners have plenty to stream for months or maybe years perfecting all of this, culminating in the Godhood Ascension run with this addition.
if you open your equipment menu there is a few slots for right hand and left hand, you can switch individually between your left hand and right hand armaments with left and right on the d pad respectively, you can also switch to two handing your right or left hand armament by holding y and pressing right or left number respectively! Hope that helps :D good luck tarnished
I guess I need to go whack Fire Giant and Godskin Duo for the last bell bearings, my weapons just don't do enough damage in the DLC despite all the Scadutree scaling I could find. With 11 out of 20(?) I should do better damage against common enemies but +18 and +6 isn't enough, I had hoped the DLC scaling was more intense. I'm not crazy about going back to base game for chores when the shadow lands sit there ripe to be explored...
