OHHH ELDEN RING. IT IS REAL. Before this, I had only watched the initial reveal trailer that came out ~8 months before launch. No network test experience or other trailers. ENJOY!! -- Watch live at / lobosjr
Sorry for the lower quality everyone; it usually processes it in this time and I scheduled it to release while I was asleep 😅 must be everyone uploading their playthroughs slowing everything down 😣 should be HD soon enough!
I don't care if the quality is good or bad, I just want to see you Lobos playing Elder Ring! I've been waiting for months and it won't be a video quality that will stop me!
I used to spend 20 minutes buffering 240p videos years ago, I can tolerate watching you in 360p for a day lol. Hope you're enjoying this game so far, lobos. I've seen steam reviews be mixed due to complaints of tons of performance issues I don't notice with your gameplay

@@AlexandrMaddness I'm the same way but I've been loving every minute of it. I think not having a quest log that gets bogged down with dozens of quests and objectives helps the wandering feel more natural
@@thelegalsystem Oh yeah don't even worry about that. Going off the main path before advancing the main one is a DS tradition. A beauty of these games is that they offer a special and unique experience for everyone. Go your own way and be proud!
Now that I've scoured the first mapped area and cleared every mini-dungeon I've come across, I'm taking a break from Elden Ring to watch Lobos play Elden Ring. What a joyous day.
@@RW-ij1ci Yeah, I caught up with the vods and started watching live while playing because I'm insanely addicted. Since he finished I'm watching other people's playthroughs while I get through the late-game. 115 hours in...
Boss Fights: 20:00 Grafted Scion 35:11 Soldier of Godrick 51:35 Tree Sentinel 1:24:28 Erdtree Burial Watchdog 1:55:27 Beastman of Farum Azula 2:49:45 Margit, the Fell Omen
I spent 9 hours exploring and constantly finding new things before I eventually just had to stop myself from continuing and go fight Margit, and Lobos is fighting him in like 2 hours. It’s going to be awesome to see all the different routes people go through the game on depending on where they go and what they find
Same! I was at 17 hours before Margit. And a lot of that time was just exploring and filling out the map, meeting NPCs and taking it all in. Super cool!
Dude I'm on 18 hours and exploring south west I'm going to see what all I can get done before beating Margit. I've Leveled up alot farming this big group on the road
It is a little reassuring that he kind of struggled with Margit at first, because I also reached him that early and got my ass kicked for hours before taking a step back and leveling up.
I remember being in college finding your channel because i kept getting my ass kicked, crazy to think 10 years later and this game and you are still an awesome constant
50 hours in now, watching these now cause I feel comfortable not getting spoiled! Glad to join for the ride, been looking forward to seeing your reactions to this. Hour and a half in and hoping Lobos realized how important stance breaking is. He's basically discarding the critical attacks by spamming R1 nonstop xD
I keep fudging my crits for some reason, I go for the riposte at the glow bits and in the correct position for smaller enemies but it's like a 50/50 chance that I'll get it off otherwise I just smack them out of the stance break or 'wake up' the ones with the glow I don't think I'm alone in this, my standing theory is that if you don't have enough stamina to pull off the initial thrust it just won't happen and you get the default R1 instead
The way Lobos detachedly and intellectually observes the moves and such of bosses is so fascinating to watch. It's the total opposite of my instinctual way of playing; he consciously notes patterns and openings whereas I subconsciously get a feeling for it. Very cool to see :D
Yeah. I just got hit multiple times by the fire of the cat boss and just decided to stay away from her. He gets hit 2 times and realizes that he can deal damage after. Crazy! XD
almost 30 hours into the game and lobos finds an entire path i never noticed in under 3 hours. im over here all the way across the map running into dead ends and the way i needed to go was 30 seconds from a semi-tutorial bonfire. gdi this game is good.
@@Jorr_G440 the fuck are you talking about, I'm 75 hours in and I still haven't beaten the fourth story boss. Don't even get me started on new characters, different classes and builds.
@@tarantulamadness6191 That’s not true at all. I beat the game at 66 hours and killed roughly 120 bosses, only using minimal guides for very few character side quests. The game can easily be beaten around 2 and a half hours after that.
I remember the first ever twitch vod i watched on youtube, and it was you Lobos playing the only R2 Artorias attack run. It was so entertaining and i thought, uhmm, this is a thing. You will always be my most loved streamer out there, no matter the numbers. Thank you!
Same, just hit 10hrs played and still in Limgrave (though I got teleported to another area by a teleport traps but went back as soon as I found a Grace), there 's so much to explore and bosses everywhere! The night only one's surprised me as I didn't know that was a thing until one ambushed me whilst looting, a big skull-faced bird thing aptly called "deathbird".
@@noobmaster1368 Yeah the time I just spend in Limgrave is just about as long as it takes me to complete Dark Souls 3 and both of its DLC. Granted its 1st playthrough vs 20th Playthrough but its still crazy.
Disclaimer: This is not a "WHY ARE YOU GUYS HAVING FUN AND NOT HATING THE GAME?!?!?!?" This is just a very depressing take on elden ring and i fucking envy you to death if you genuinly have fun with this game and can't stop playing, god i wish i could switch places with you lol. I got bored after 26 hours and couldn't do more, as a souls veteran it pains my soul to say that elden ring didn't do it for me and I would never think about doing another playthrough that forces me to play in limgrave for another 14 hours just to beat the first 2 major bosses without having to fight them for 1 hour beacuse of the shitty damage my character does unless he uses some kind of spell. It's not even the difficulty, it's the open world that dissapointed and burned me the most and made me quit, all of these fueled high expectations just for an open world that takes the content of 2 areas of ds3 and spreads it without much variation (spoilers: except that one entrance to an underground place which was nice) other than the same items, enemies and some repeated minibosses just to give you a poor feel of exploration alongside a crafting system that was made just to fill the world with items and not try new and more original ideas. There's a lot of things i likes and disliked but the fact that this game feels like dark souls 1 but with keywords changed makes the story very uninteresting for me. I just hope that this is the game that finally puts to rest the old souls formula and makes fromsoftware try new things that aren't the same "r1 - dodge and repeat" game.
I'm so loving watching this after I've put 300+ hours into this magnificent game. Love seeing FromSoft fans experiencing a new game and Lobos is at the top of that list
Won't be able to play this for a good while because of responsibilities coming in the way, but I'll be sure to check out your playthrough once I've had a chance to go at it myself. Good luck Lobos, hope you have fun with it!
@@annarenfold438 Torches are basically their own weapon class, really; I suspect the Steel-Wire Torch would make the obligatory Torch-only run not too rough. And Faith is actually a decent stat in this game as well. Holy Damage is accessible pretty early, and Incantations are useful and versatile. The Pyromancies are lumped in with Incantations.
Wow. I searched Limgrave for dozens of hours and never found that Groveside Cave. Love these early first impressions. "I don't think jumping is gonna be good for dodging" Cut to me 100+ hours in jumping over every sweep attack for a free R2 stagger lol Can't wait to watch the full playthrough when I finish my own!
I'm not sure if Lobos learns this later, but it's a neat thing not many streamers I follow have noticed. If you break the glowing skulls, they contain some pocket souls. Usually 200 runes worth.
Thank you for uploading these videos lobos! I am like yourself and will not watch anything until my first play through is done. As soon as i am done i will be watching all of these!!
I am 20 hours in and I haven't even beat Godrick yet. Zooming around the high level zones on my trusty goat, snatching high level items on the fly and entering locations I should not be in yet (Divine Tower of Caelid OMG) has been my jam for the past 2 days. God, this game is fucking awesome.
I just got it a few days ago and already have 50 hours of play time. I waited to watch your streams to keep the whole thing fresh and it’s so fulfilling to not know what to do!
wasn’t able to get it til this past week but i’m just level 40 and starting ur playthrough. i didn’t wanna get spoilers before. but you got me to try again on ds1 in 2014 and i’ve binged from soft since then. so glad to see this playthrough finally
Wish I coulda watched live, but this is the first Fromsoft game I've bought on release and wanted to beat it once before digesting other people's playthroughs. It has take me a minute, but I am now ready to watch Lobos play.
Used to watch all of ur vids in highschool then fell off in college but coming back now to watch you play elden ring because i cant afford it and watching you play DS3 and all your DS1 challenge runs helped me through a rly dark mental time so thank you
Lobos in the beginning looks like he was almost crying. What a great soul! It felt like seeing an NBA player about to play in a game he knows he's going to win but its so grateful for everything he has and humble and happy he's doing what he loves. This man is one of the few who inspired me to stream. I hope one day he'll find this puny little comment.
This game is truly something else. After discovering a bit of the map, I assumed that I had mostly discovered everything. Not. Even. Remotely. Close. The map is the biggest thing I’ve ever seen, it expands far in every direction well past the initial appearance of the map. This game is truly incredible.
Playing my first playthrough too loobie, I will save this for much later!!! The game is a masterpiece so far. Time to enjoy this work art my friend. Blessings and keep it up the amazing work!
I can barely keep watching, every time he destroys dozens of barrels and crates with abandon, but refuses to break the skulls that drop runes. It's maddening! Love your stuff man.
The art style and sense of wonder in this game is a major reason why I'm entralled with it. something that finally is as good or better than bloodborne in that regard
I tell you. It’s always a pleasure to watch a professional Dark Souls player. Comparing your dodges and timing to my own - such skillful playing is a treat to watch.
Yea I remember watching him play dark souls for the first time (my first time watching not his first time playing) and immediately I learned how backstabs actually work just by watching how easily he walks around guys without even locking on
Your raw skill and learning speed in these games is astounding. I knew you were legendarily good at Soulsborne but seeing you play this for the first time really shows your talent. It's not just knowing everything about the game that makes you good, you're just insane.
it took Fromsoft about how many dozen of their games to finally have a Proper dedicated old school Castlevania-style jump button hey? that is also what i said to myself when Sekiro came out you are slowly evolving my Trolly-ass friend Miyazaki you are Evolving 👌
My brain is so broken after playing nothing but Sekiro for the past three years! I am getting so clobbered. Do I roll? Do I parry? Do I jump? Where's the option to "face enemy and spam deflect" ?!
Haha remember when I was just so excited and looking at the steam page to see when it opens, and I keep seeing your stream, and I jump away like a vampire from sunlight cause spoilers.
God I love this game, and god it's so fun seeing Lobos get immersed in a new Fromsoft title! First time being around for launch, best of luck fellow Tarnished!
Favorite line so far: 51:00 "I see your challenge, and I accept, Miyazaki." Then I remember the railing climbing he did in the duke's archives in a mod and fear he might do it.
Fun fact; I went completely around the Tree Sentinel and that vendor so I didn't find the crafting kit until I was about 25-30 hours in and decided to go back and check it out.
I'm a year late, my only issue with it, and I love elden ring wholeheartedly, is that all of the minor bosses are just regular enemies with a boss Healthbar
Watching after a year and having beat the game plenty of times. Sure is refreshing watching someone actually read everything and not skip dialogue and wonder why they're lost😂.
I love Lobos' way of playing these games. Willing to give some solid attempts to that horseback boss, experimenting with new mechanics to see how they work, etc, taking his time but learning a lot along the way. Very cool.
@@amysteriousviewer3772 Yeah he roughed me up pretty good. I realized though I didn't go to the weeping Pen. or Mistwood so I am running through those now. I should be a much higher level for the rematch!
I have returned to see you do this. You're the dark souls guy in my opinion. From zero damage playthroughs to shield only runs to use what you pick up, I think I've watched you play more than I've even played souls games. I'm excited
Even in I Dont care if it's HD or nor, I will wait for it. I expected your uploads tomorrow or even in 2 days so it doesn't bother me to wait . I hope you have a blast playing it.
After watching Asmongold playing Elden Ring, it's refreshing to see someone who actually takes his time to read items, explore and learn boss move sets and the game mechanics!
This game oddly resembles (in a good way) the same experience I had playing Shadow of The Colossus. The way the scenery is exaggeratedly big, making you feel very little; looking to the horizon with no HUD on screen; the calm music with bird noises on the background… Elden Ring is the next step in videogame definition, going from simple entertainment hobbies, to epic pieces of art.
@RU-vid is highkey garbage Sorry, I meant to say that people outside videogaming world are starting to see videogames with another eyes. We always considered videogames pieces of art, but it seens that people who don’t play are now paying more attention to it
For the frame drops, fight him near the church, not down in that small valley that seems like it's an intended boss arena. The valley contains a transition point between several areas, which means it's constantly loading new areas as you move around during the fight, which is what's causing most of the drops. By staying near the church, you can avoid this. (Also there's actually an animation for him destroying the church a bit if he attacks it.)
@@SamOween As far as I can tell, it's ENTIRELY about the dodgy and variable performance. I'm lucky enough to have a solid experience on my rig, but others not so much. Hopefully they will fix these issues quickly.
Have postponed watching these cause i wanted to play the game blind myself. Really looking forward to watching you play it for the first time. Love from Norway
I'm glad for a video like this, since playing it myself has proven to be... difficult. Long story short, my computer has such a hard time running Elden Ring that the models don't load in. I can't even see the enemies. so I guess I'll have to enjoy it along side Lobos.
Have you updated your graphics drivers to the latest ones? I had the same issue but driver update fixed it and now it runs smoothly. I also reinstalled the game after doing so but idk if that's a needed step or not.
Pro tip man, I'm on the minimum requirements, and in a couple spots in the early game(and when I first start up the game for the day), I get terrible artifacting and black screening like that. What I found that works is changing the resolution. I'll drop it to 1600 for 20 minutes and then swap back to high res. Fixes everything. Was the only fix I could find. Maybe it works for you!
