Thanks for watching!! Since I was missing a single deathroot here, I didn't get Maliketh's unique dialogue, but I got it in another playthrough! This clip doesn't have his 'opening' dialogue, but his death dialogue is here. Check it out if you'd like to compare: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QXupMl_3Low.html
You’ve been uploading for like three months straight wraffarino so thank you for that!! But don’t worry about everyday uploads we appreciate what we get 🥰🥰 hope you’re doing well
You know how the majority of Yharnam is basically just cathedrals and graveyards? Everyone there is apparently either at church or they're dead (or both). I suspect the giant gravestones that exist all over Limgrave and Liurnia are similar thematic set dressing.
I just realized that the "flames" that we see around the rune of death are the same as the flames we see with Mesmir from the "The Shadow of The Erdtree" trailer!
Actually, even learning so much about the lore, I still don't get why Gurranq remains in the Beastial Sanctum after Maliketh is defeated. Are they different Clergymans? Or is it a game overlook?
Like others said I’m pretty sure it’s to do with Farum Azulza being frozen in time, in a sense. It’s kind of like a last bastion for the ancient dragons, where placidusax tries to connect to its outer god who fled. And the ancient dragon scales are said to have time traveling powers, which is why they can slay a god and boost a weapon to max level. That being said, I think maliketh essentially went into exile after the night of black knives and tried to collect the death root. But simultaneously also went to Farum azula to protect the rune of death. Which explains why a draconic tree sentinel guards him. So bc he is in a time warp zone, it’s implied that we are dealing with gurranq during his pilgrimage to get death root. Then when we burn the tree/ourselves we’re transported to a time pocket where he’s been in the future. Idk bruh
@@Rawrmuffin0 Gurranq disappears after you give him the final death root. This can happen before or after Maliketh dies. From Miquella's isolated tower we can see rocks whirling around in FA. That means FA is not frozen in time. But it has mending capabilities (not necessarily time travel) because that's how we get to meet Placidusax. This is similar to Fia's dream, which can distort reality and briefly manifest a nightmare of sort. Gurranq is definitely real, because he fights us after giving him a few death roots. My guess is that Maliketh left his old body behind in the form of Gurranq and occupied a new host in FA.
Also, if you die from an attack infused with Destined Death, you die forever. If this game was lore accurate, you’d have your save file deleted if you die from a Destined Death attack, but for gameplay reasons, you have infinite lives
I'm still not clear on why obtaining the Rune of Destined Death is needed to burn the thorns when you've already lit the Erdtree on fire. I'm sure there's a lore reason but I don't know what it is.
Because without releasing death - nobody can die. They can stay as shriveled zombies like the nobles roaming around Limgrave, but they cannot actually die. Same logic applies to the thorns and the tree itself. It's just gonna stay burning forever.
His armour reminds me of berserk and berserk armour.. Also you probably know by now, but if not, check out Blasphemous Claw Makes the fight a whole more lot fun!
First Mohg and now Maliketh. You got back to back gimmick fights, and the gimmicks were unfortunately not as easy to find as Rykard's. Blasphemous Claw really does do well against Maliketh and is great at giving you openings to counterattack.
@@gamingoldtonew That would make Margit a gimmick fight too. Just because there's an item that can help doesn't make him a gimmick fight. I have myself beating Maliketh easily without that item on my page right here, and 90% of people who beat Maliketh didn't even know that item existed. He's one of the best fights ever.
Maliketh has a shitty phase 1 while Godfrey and Radagon have shitty phases 2. It's hard to get a major boss in this game that's a cool fight throughout.
