8:29 that's interesting, its a perspective thing he looks gigantic cause it seems he is deeper in the image than he should be, but he's just on top of the co op statue, at first glance his feet looks like they are on the ground behind him.
I like how Chase make fun of wizards but he actually PLAYS like a true wizard in its full potential instead of just spamming the same spell forever and not leveling vigor. He's really crazy good at doing a wizard and makes this playstyle looks fun to watch and play
This is not true : Chase is a good pvp player but we can see is clearly not a experienced mage => His spell order in his memory slot are not optimized =>he doesn’t know that 40 in mind are useless because a mana potion +12 give you 220 Fp and with 38 in mind you have already 221 Fp so this is useless to put 2 point more in mind =>his gameplay as a mage are very basic, he is not bad because he is a good pvp player but we only see very average mage gameplay
@@bulle0823Agreed. Good Mage players are HORRIFYING. Of course, it's also very difficult to pull off. Where Melee builds have their difficulty in weapon swaps and careful spacing/punishing, Mages have their difficulty baked into swapping and chaining different spells together to make tricky combos. Chase has his Melee gameplay down to a science, and so he uses Carian Slicer/Piercer or Gavel of Haima to sort of stand in for his normal gameplay loop, and it works because they do so much damage. I'd love to see him make use of more spells, like Zamor Ice Storm (which he already loves on the Zamor Curved Sword), Miriam's Vanishing, Crystal Burst, and others. Crystal Burst in particular is, IMO, ludicrously underrated. Thing does very not ok damage at close range. I'd also love to see more use of the CRS's unique Spinning Weapon. It's surprisingly effective.
Oh no, since the Moonveil video we saw signs of Chase going to the dark side and it is finally here. Chase has become a wizard but a least not a dishonest one ;)
Seeing how much you've been enjoying this ranged build with explosively high damage, perhaps its time to utilize another Greatbow build? The DLC gave them a lot of useful things, like the Arrow's Soaring Sting talisman, the Sharpshot talisman, and of course the Igon's Host Annihilator ash of war!
It does great damage, gets buffed by like 5 things, it's cheap asf for what it does, it has 0 recovery frames, it covers all interiors invasions spots, completely shuts down your opponents screen and audio real state and there's no risks to using it because the explosion goes behind you Greta game design
Slicer into piercer is still one of the scariest roll catches in the game. I'm also inclined to think that casting builds can be so strong only because those usually playing them have a lower average skill level than melee enjoyers. I was surprised to see a colossal swing so fast it had priority over carian slicer, that's quite scary.
Funny, I dusted off my 200 wizard last night too. Lots of activity. The main reason was to test out the Carian Sorcery Sword. Used it in the offhand with the Meteroric Katana and the Wing of Astel. Works pretty well as it swaps your AoW for a spell cast in the offhand. I liked it. Not as powerful as a staff, but very flexible with the poke on L1. Gonna try it today as a main hand with a shield. Apparently you can guard counter with it by pressing R1 and R2 together. Pretty unique. Since you’ve been dabbling with both rapiers and wizardry these past few days, perhaps now is the time to give it a go? Enjoyed the dishonest wizardry too by the by, good vid! Catch ya next time!
moments like 6:22 remind me how good Chase is at PVP! inputting running and crouching attacks with pivots and spell swaps can't be easy. Such good content to watch!
It's okay, friends, Chase The Wizard is a different person than our Bro, even if they share similar names and mannerisms We all know our Chase would never use such filthy and foul spell spam, no matter how dishonest the host I'm sure our Chase will return from vacation soon
I once had my character model get smaller so seeing a large boy in your video is crazy. Made me about 3/4 size til i rested at the grace in Carian manor on the second floor after a backstab on a knight during an invasion.
Chase Bingo: "I too am a wizard trust me"; red teamwork! ; slicer into piercer combo (the Chase the Wizard special) ; host squad forgets invader s ; host disconnected; accidental host kill ; gravity kill! (Like actual gravity); double kill! ; environment kill??
We had a new Moonveil video a bit back...a one off surely. Then we get this, Chase as a dishonest wizard?!...it can't be!!! We live in a dark timeline.
I’m a few videos behind at the moment, just came here to let people know there’s a new Official strategy guide (Book of Knowledge) out for Elden Ring DLC.
Since youre on the sorcery build I was reminded of a wizard you fought a week or two ago using mass of putrescence and piercer together. It looked like a really interesting combo but im not sure of its viability, would love to see it!
Bearer of the torch Seek madness. Unhinged, more fiery madness. Seek the host, that is the only way. Lest the wizards swallow you whole... As it has so many others.
You can use Gravity missle with 2 Meteorite staffs as a Low level with +0 Upgrades to Hit 1000+ on Unsuspecting Players. (Blades of Stone was Also Fixed to Work with Godfrey Icon as well)
if you only have one armament in a hand you can softswap to bare handed which natively has kick as its AoW, that way you can keep the pure wizard status and still use kick
Have you tried using the staff that increases sword sorceries? You go to combo is the Carian slicer followed by Carian piercer. There is a staff that buffs both spells I believe.
18:58 - That's interesting. I kinda wish we could see per region why that's the case. It could be that Euro-bros could prefer the higher level compared to the Americas still sticking with the rl 150 range.
Challenge for ChaseTheBro: Find weapon, spell or ash of war that isn`t OP, Broken, Busted or useless garbage and make video about it named "This weapon/ash of war/spell is ABSOLUTELY normal"
The true power of gravitational missile in PvP is that it blasts people's eardrums off. Honestly, Godfrey Icon should also boost the noise by 15% so that it just deals permanent physical damage to players' ears.
I feel like perfect blocks work differently now because they feel ten times easier to do but you still take full damage even through a shield thats blocking 100% physical damage when the opponent is only using physical I don't get good enough latency to test it properly though
