. DS3 Actually did horror fantastically in all of irithyll. The pressure with the wardens and the sounds of the inmates some of whom are blue baby monsters who are hanging from the walls in the dungeon is masterful, and so are the slow walking pontiff knights and the eyes in the dark waiting for their shot to kill you with magic.
After defeating Radahn, you can speak to the jar guy (Raphael, I think) and he basically tells you he's a coward, but he's finding good bodies of brave dead soldiers around the arena to stick inside him and make him brave. It was well known before the DLC
@@TGMS77 the flesh seems to fuse in the jars. You get to see the undeveloped, would be jar warriors in the prison dungeons across the dlc. Reading the descriptions for the meat in said dungeons tells that they were trapped in the jars, and that this fused meat was the product of what they become. Haven’t seen much more but it’s awesome
@@TGMS77 This! the most unsettling thing about Jar guy is that eating a bunch of brave dead soldiers (possibly including Radahn) actually works and he does become more and more brave as his story unfolds and *SPOILERS* he gathers enough courage to GO TO FARUM AZULA and CHALLENGE you, the guy who killed the guy who killed a whole lot of the people inside that jar body of his (possibly including Radahn himself). People tend to forget how its kind of impossible to get to Farum Azula. Damn Jar bro has a good story got me all emotional
One aspect of Elden Ring I love is that you can play through and do Rannis quest and have this idea of the game about stars and waifus, all while never meeting the character named the Dung Eater who curses people and their children and their childrens children by...eating uh...whats under the bloody cloth. And then getting his ending. I think Elden Ring has a lot of existential horror as well dealing with the afterlife and the soul and things like the weight of an individual in comparison to thousands of years. In the end, I think the game is a sort of koan. At least personally, as I pour over the lore I often end up thinking about my own place in the universe and on earth. If an Erdtree falls and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?
Bloody Good video bro, keep up the great work... and just an aside, please don't feel like you have to apologize for any previous/prior theories put forward. The best part of FromSoft games is that there are no wrong theories, some may fit better than others... and of course, if you feel like you made a theory you want to correct, then apologize all you want bro, it's all good. This is truly one of the greatest communities to ever coalesce around a game/studio... I'm also loving the Shadow Realm so much I can hardly stand it. A couple things you may want to consider in future videos... as far as "what I wish I knew beforehand", there's two things; 1. The New Item tab and exclamation mark for new items is turned off by default and can be turned on in the settings menu. 2. absolutely beautiful game, the best ive played in my lifetime. Its almost impossible for me to try other games. so thankful to be young, ambitious and full of Vigor while this game is at its peak. Blessed ye all Tarnished on their adventures
It is genuinely scary, especially when you wear headphones and play it offline (so the levels are not cluttered with indicative messages and player bloodstains). You can get a true horror experience if you want, it's how I did my first playthrough and it was phenomenal.
I actually made a video a year and a half ago talking about Miquella, I’ve always been a believer that Miquella wasn’t very nice, everyone called me crazy though lmao
come and see 1985 is a horror movie, yes it's an anti war movie, but between the acting the cinematography and what the films shows it's beyond a shame not a lot of people know about it.
The loathsome dung eater is one of if not the most slasher killer in fromsofts catalogue, he’s like someone you’d find in dead by daylight, and the body horror in this game is almost silent hill esq at times, like volcano manor especially
Dead by daylight has lost the plot. D&D and Alien? Plus Chucky and Nicholas Cage...funny AF 😂😂 They stopped making original killers and the newer one they had was hugely disappointing.
Miquella fits in a horror film like "Midsommer" where the monsters are cheerful, happy, psychopaths whom happily brainwash others into becoming their willing slaves to do horrible things.
@@theemeraldgecko310 Considering that Miquella never hit puberty, I think we're safe there. In fact, the reason he might be a progidy is that he could never raise a family so scholarship was all he could devote himself to. Also explains his attachment to his sister, as he would never have a wife or other attachment to distract him.

Thank you for you’re feedback. As this is feedback, I would like to improve on this points. Firstly I cannot help the way I talk, which part was too much for you? I don’t believe I repeated myself, if so which part? And thirdly I apologise for the swearing it’s just my mannerisms, which comes out sometimes.

Dunno if you listen to your own videos before you post em much, but its the same as with letters and emails we write. gotta watch it once more when you are no longer under the effect of your own video. When you look at it more objectively you can easily find where you repeat yourself (tbf you might just be padding for the sweet sweet 10 minute mark :D). you fit a niche, that niche is tinfoil hat theories and overexcited easy to understand content. Also that niche is not oversaturated as much as the classic prepare to cry format. Let your voice go dont try to be vaatividya you the gecko.
