The perk of bow scaling being so bad is that using them at a low level ends up being pretty viable and once you're in hyper mode, you're not too far behind a build actually built around them (in terms of AR at least, you take a hit when it comes to your talisman loadout and other buffs). Black Bow completely invalidates the entire short bow category and is still the best bow at RL1 despite the higher requirements and weight locking you out of an extra damage boosting talisman (if you aren't using Godrick's Rune) and making Blue Dancer (which I'm not using anyway) less effective because it has substantially longer range and enough base AR to make losing that talisman pretty meaningless. The Wondrous Physick here is a mix of Greenspill (max stamina) and Greenburst (stamina recovery). Stamina is THE most important resource when playing a bow build because you utilize a lot of jumping and rolling attacks, furthermore Barrage will really eat away at your stamina bar too, so it's good to get more shots out of any window you can use it. Bows feel really comfortable on Maliketh because he has a relatively small HP pool for an endgame boss and I end with 32 of the only arrow type I was utilizing. I didn't even feel the need to utilize the bleed+freeze combo, which would be your bread and butter for anything meatier.
It makes a lot of sense to use ranged weapons for this boss since staying in melee range is particularly perilous here, and hell on the stamina. Even the first phase of this guy never lets up and swings for days.
@@mohamedabdullahi3914 Whether i agree or disagree, isn't the point. Your advice is basically "Just dodge it bro". Which is simply not a productive tip.
@@hakimonn If he were to respond i would ofc explain my point in more details, but he isn't. Am I not wasting my time by writing paragraphs just for him not see it?
Yoooo. Did not expect this lol. I missed the last few. I still rewatch your SL1 NG+7 runs time to time. (And the storm blood SCH when I was learning SCH lol) Hope you’re doing well!
any reason for rolling through the phase 1 shockwaves instead of jumping over them and getting in a jump attack? or is it just muscle memory from thousands of hours of playing souls games without a jump button (understandable)
