0:31 Because he was never loyal to the Golden Order. He ultimately sided with his family over everyone mostly. He was Carian royalty, first and foremost. He believed that Marika had some form of control over Radagon, which is not entirely unfounded. Radagon was considered consort to Renalla, a queen and sorceress that he had quarrel with and ultimately fallen in love with. He found the fundamentalists, a school of thought that combines zealous faith and arcane sorcery. He was beloved by the Golden Order, because he was their fiercest champion, and yet still he’d divorced Renalla and left as though it mattered not. Redahn probably also despised the Golden Order because of what happened to Godfrey, the first Elden Lord and the the first Tarnished. Even Crucible Knights, those who served as Godfrey’s Knights were scorned by the Order THEY helped elevate into prominence. When the Golden Order elevated him and his siblings to the status of demigods, it didn’t taper his hatred of them, he just pushed it to the back. When he took cealid for himself, he called his warriors the Redmanes, a reference to his own red hair, and employed those who the Golden Ordered scorned. During the shattering his own contribution was the siege of Leyndell, the Golden Order’s HQ, only to be repelled by Margit, a fellow demigod. When Melania marched on cealid, it was Ranni who had Iji forge arms resistant to scarlet rot, and Rykard who sent forces to aid Redahn’s Redmanes. Following Redahn’s fall via scarlet rot, Rykard himself put a hit on the Blade of Miquella, which is referenced in Rykard’s theme: “Swift little blades, I invite you to hunt the sacred goddess of two wings, for she has felled my brother and must be destroyed before she becomes a goddess of sin.” This references how he was involved in the black knife conspiracy and how he was so livid that would use the black knives to assassinate Menlania. Which shows that, even as Lord of Blasphemy, Rykard still cares for his siblings. Hell, on the topic of Rykard, he has two portraits, one is a side portrait of what one can assume to be himself, and a front portrait of, guess who, Redahn. Clearly, buried far, far, FAR beneath his cold , cruel nature, Rykard’s a man who cares about family. It doesn’t make you feel any sympathy for him when you do kill him, but hey, it’s thought that counts.
For 3:03 that s a mistranslation she never says that and basically says she wants to keep the darkness away and is OK with being lonely forever even knowing that because she chose to oppose her fate, Iji and Blaidd will lose their minds(they know it too and are ok with it too) You should check her original lines in japanese, there are several articles that explain and give the actual translations, it s still such a shame the English translation was so bad, it literaly screws her entire character(I had spoiled myself and done research beforehand and I still thought she was a haughty evil bitch when playing)
apparently the fuck up wasnt even from japanese to english it was from english to old english thats fucked up the translators to make it so bad. they really need to patch her dialouge so people stop thinking shes the evil ending. shes literally the good ending that breaks the cycle of bs the outer gods have caused.
2:34 and 5:26 are painfully true lmao. I've been helping people with endgame bosses recently and it's hilarious to see the host stack a thousand buffs onto himself (half of which are actually not stackable lol) and die in one hit after 5 seconds 2:58 Translation moment 8:25 True ER endgame - looking good and not dying in one hit 14:10 WHY? Why is that... so damn accurate 21:49 Me who catches Covid 1 day after going to Caelid for the first time: "Coincidence? I think not!"
There is another for 10:02, I took the frenzied flame, killed placidusax, and then HER solo (with mimic) we all know HER as Melania, AND Millicent’s quest, and I used the needle so Melina survives and I get the age of fracture. Melania was not very hard, I got her in under 20 tries because NIHIL, NIHIL, NNIHIL!
You did the Frenzied Flame ending to save Melina. I did the Frenzied Flame ending after Melina had already sacrificed herself so that I could rule without fear of Destined Death. We are not the same.
You got the frenzy ending for the achievement You got the frenzy ending so melena wouldn't die I got the frenzied ending to quite literly turn everything into fire for one beautiful dance We are not the same.
2:25 Mohg holds his spear by the end of the pole when he’s attacking with it, but he holds it in the middle when he’s not, so his reach is a lot farther than it looks like it should be. It’s quite difficult to tell, but now you know if you didn’t🫠
Malenia might be hard. But she is learnable. When i killed her I finished the first phase with only having to heal twice So I had 10 flasks for phase 2 The only bad thing that can happen (in my opinion) is if she starts waterflow right in front of you
3:00 she's the only being left alive that is capable of replacing Marika. And since the Greater Will clearly doesn't care and the Scarlet Rot will eventually consume the world, an exodus to the stars is not a bad plan.
For 0:51 For the first one: Its suggested the Blaidd was created by Ranni and the 2 fingers for her own plots (for Blaidd was meant as a plot) but Marika was wedded to Godfrey and maybe got her shadow from her finger. 2. That is most likely Melina as she wields a black knife blade (though it is actually holy) when you summon her for Morgott. 3. Radahn fought to unite the lands between. Morgott fought to protect the Erdtree. 4. Isk
2. My personal head-canon is that both Ranni and Melina were originally a single entity known as "The Gloam-Eyed Queen". However, after they were defeated and had their Rune of Death stolen by Malikath, they separated into the two halves that the Tarnished Champion (us) eventually meet.
@@Lafreshidon if that were true, then Melina would try to stop us from meeting Ranni. I’m not sure and also the rune of death was stolen from Maliketh by Ranni I think. Though it would make sense due to the existence of Radagon and Marika as well as D the undead hunter
@@TheTrueAdonis If we go what I believe to be the canonical route, then we'd first meet Ranni at the nearest church at night to receive the spirit caller bell from her, then we'd meet Melina shortly after to receive Torrent.
@@TheTrueAdonis Wait... I met Melina first and missed meeting Ranni at the church because I never back-tracked to the church, but I thought that... I need to start a new game to make sense of this. Also considering Melina being equipped with the Blade of Calling which is reminiscent of the Black Knives' daggers, I think she'd have to at least have been a member of Ranni's squad of assassins some time before The Shattering.
16:35 I protest. From my experience dealing with invaders, they go fetch end game weapons and spells and then go back to early game areas to beat up on low level beginner characters who have at best a +2 lordsworn greatsword. They also like to use the PvE to distract and help them kill the Host of Fingers. The Host does not have the statistical, nor numerical advantage.
Yeah say that again when the host has 2 level 500 bullgoat's rivers of blood phantoms. We invaders need every tool we can get to even survive that, let alone beat it.
The only later-game weapons that are a problem for low-level characters are ones that inflict scarlet rot, because hosts won't have access to a cure yet. And invaders using mobs to assist in defeating the host is just evening the odds, because hosts are always supported by two phantoms making it a 3v1 gank squad against the invader. 3 thinking humans (of admittedly varying levels of intelligence and skill) are generally going to be a hell of a lot stronger than one invader and a couple of dumb AI bots he was lucky enough to find that the host's party hadn't already killed yet.
@@Metaknight180 i always get invaded when i only have one helper or i help one person. and the invaders are always dumbasses who try to use the already dead enemies to kill me or try to glitch me into a backstab or to avoid my swing. im only annoyed about the glitching bs cuz i cant tell if its a the invader or my stupid internet.
@@Kris-wo4pj Well once you get invaded there is a chance that a blue hunter will arrive to help you. That's why most of the time invaders have to face 3 players at once. The host, his friend and a blue hunter.
4:00 I’m guessing it goes like this: Radahn - War: His war between Malenia messed him up due to the scarlet rot and it’s what he’s been all about until the day he dies due to it screwing up his brain. Tree Sentinel - Death: He always bullies and one-shots the newer players on their way to the church or whenever they want to beat him. Night’s Cavalry - Pestilence: They’re all over the Lands Between every time the moon is up; they’re basically plaguing it. Kaiden Horsemen - Famine: Just like how it means the deprivation of food, in this case it could mean the deprivation of skill to beat these damn enemies early-game. Pretty sure there’s better guesses than this though.
0:20 Weird thing, I only used mimic tear once: my fight against praetor rykard. After that if I never needed help, black knife tiche was there. 04:45 Yeah, most of the Elden Ring players consider summons fair game, since player summoning brings it own punishments(you open yourself to be invaded and bosses double up on health) and spirit summons too(except maybe mimic tear). They rather think that blood hound step + rivers of blood or bleed and frost builds as cheating(You could spam blood hound step with minimal cost to become invulnerable for all damage and bleed build-up for rivers of blood was insane). Which in itself wouldn't be that bad, but since Elden Ring has pvp.... So, naturally 1.06 patch nerfed them. We'll see if it's enough.
malenia and miquella do not have shadows because they abandoned the golden order (just like blaidd going mad after ranni abandons the golden order) but they sure did have shadows before. as to who they were, i have no idea.
I don't simp ranni, but I couldn't turn her pitch down "Ye tarnished, see all this? I wish to fuck it up royal like, Wouldst thou join My Artorious furry, BFG, and rohypnol specialist?" Like damn, hard to say no
Actually the reason Morgott never calls Mogh a traitor is because their existence is supposed to be a secret and they never truly had to be loyal to the golden order their life decisions are completely up to them unlike the other demigods Morgott simply chose to serve the golden order and Mogh chose to serve the formless mother
8:51 this is actually a good thing and more people need to realise that we simply cant tell the entire lore yeat not without dlc or more discoveries ingame. Because otherwise you get people who believe the gloam eyed queen (who acted like a mother literally raising the godskins and wielding a colossal sword) is confirmed melina. Which is dumb. Its a viable theory but nothing more then that
1:13 Not true. I dont turn my back and she still uses rivers of heal. 3:46 Technically thatd be the bears, but the lobsters, crabs, and octopuses are close. 12:24 O did the mimic cheese and Godrick was still easier. 12:50 I always wondered where Barons Castle got that from.
NGL I use ROB, idk why people care bc it’s a late game weapon and is OP a for a reason so it can kill the late game bosses, idk why people care if you get ROB a unless you go online and spam, and if it really matters to you just learn how to dodge or counter it, stop getting mad over what people use in single player
0:31 Lemme hit ya with a lil bit of LORE. Radahn was a traitor in Morgott's eyes because Radahn was never once loyal to the Erdtree and the Golden Order. It is precisely because Radahn was loyal to Radegon that he became a traitor to Morgott. Who shattered the Elden Ring? Radegon. Radegon wanted to get RID of the Golden Order. He wasn't loyal to it either. Radegon married Renalla, a sorceress and the Carian Queen, an order who OPPOSED the Golden Order. Sure, he was beloved by the Golden Order, but that's because he IS Marika, and MARIKA is the one who is beloved by the Golden Order. Radahn probably also hated the Golden Order because of what it did to Godfrey and the first Tarnished. Radahn even marched onto Leyndell, which is essentially the home and headquarters of the Golden Order. Morgott was the one who repelled him and his Redmanes. So yes, he WAS a traitor in Morgott's eyes.
Malenia isn’t too hard and you don’t need an OP build… just grab black knife tiche +10 and the aggro talisman and BHS to get some distance and dodge her waterfowl dance. I did it on my 3rd attempt using a black knife assassin build.
9:09 WE can’t kill a boss in 3 or four hits. THEY can kill us in 3 or 4 hits if we’re lucky! Us being able to heal is reasonable, a boss being able to heal is bit much.
Bosses in Eldon ring are so aggressive you have no other choice but to use ashes if you don’t believe me try fighting a boss with a slow weapon early on in the game like the golden halbert that drops from the tree sentence see how that goes for you
I played my first run with a greataxe and at the end with a colossal axe The only boss where I think my weapon (colossal) was to slow was Malenia. And even there a greataxe was enough I would also say Godrey second phase gives frew moments. Thats it
I played a mage build and any time I summoned a mimic tear it would just get its ass kicked. I had hoped to learn how to fight better. I simply learned my build was so terrible even the OP summon couldn't do anything with it.
They directly nerfed mimics ai in 1.05 it wasn't you or your build mimic is literally dumber than a toddler now, I recommend switching to a fully upgraded black knife tiche if youre trying for ez mode, anybody else if you're summoning for fun (tiche steals all the fun), and nobody if you really do want to learn to fight
Also enji is murdered by people who work for the Golden order, you don't have to kill Blaid, and that one dragon was a dick anyways, and so was the puppet guy.
tru story i just beat the game yesterday, but i never explore caelid more than 5 minutes, if i found myself there, its either accidental (from siofra river, or guides told me to go to specific location to take something and get out asap, or harvesting that white dragon for somerunes, once i defeat radahn, start milicent or discover disgrace behind that old white dragon thats all for me in caelid, fuck those big dogs, birds or a literal dragon in the area
average hardcore elden ring fan (mimic tear is easy mode) VS average hardcore elden ring enjoyer (respects and uses mimic tear because it is apart of the game, not an “easy mode”)
This is not a meme from elder ring but idk *Me watching the global messages from the game with players upgrading their legendary weapon to 300 starts+ Me::(
