About this weapon: In patch 1.09, FromSoft buffed the speed, range, recovery time and guard counter speed of Greataxes. This weapon is a lowkey great option for early game, despite the heavy stat requirement (34 STR 22 DEX). It is weird that the weapon skill does less damage when hitting foes up close with the axe, than when hitting with the shockwaves from a distance. Maybe it's a bug? - Recommend Build: Quality Infusion: No - More Elden Ring Weapons: ru-vid.com/group/PL8GppKo8lh4m_VljOF4ZY4O8cykbQ6UQl
The reason for weirdness of the AoW is not because of the weapon but because of the hit , what’s an hit ? It’s invisibility frame on muilt-hit to make it impossible for infinite stun-lock , if you’re wondering why this work on bosses even though it’s impossible to stun lock them , it because mulit-hit come from your weapon not your opponent , another weapon suffer from the same issue is vyke’s war spear AoW Where it’s explosion deal more damage than the direct hit
I fell in love with this weapon the moment I saw it. I remember using it until late Mountaintops when I found more OP weapons. It’s definitely not the best weapon out there, but damn it, it’s got charm.
@@jv3198 It's still pretty good tho. You don't necessarily have to use the objectively best weapons, just making a great build around a cool weapon is good enough to get you through the entire game
This weapon has no redeeming features , the crescent moon axe have same moveset but you can change it affinities , slap hoarah loux slam dunk And that’s basically better godrick axe
Sad but true. This weapon is outshined by crescent moon axe in every way, despite being a cool-looking boss weapon. FromSoft should buff the weapon skill a bit more because that’s what makes it special, or at least lower the requirement.
To fulfill the requirement in early game, you can grab the radagon seal from fort faroth and activate the godrick great rune. They provide 10 levels buff of all stats. Anyway gg estus!
