@Nolimitsbestfriend Yeah but you could then argue all item descriptions give us the information we need for all bosses with cutscenes. It would have just been nice to have a fancier intro for her
That's kind of the point though. The dlc was supposed to convey a feeling of emptiness and void and that's exactly what it did. The lands between are dying and the Demigods fate is to die at our hands. The entire point was that feeling you got also because it's not the end of anything it happens in the middle of the game
@@aaronkash100 The DLC gave me the feeling of rage, OP bosses and some OP elite enemies whooped my ass more than the bosses. But the DLC was frustratingly fun, I’m still stuck at Raddahn and his dude wife. Phase one easy phase two with the lasers kicks my ass! I can’t see shyt!
"cleanse away the strumpet's vile progeny" strumpet is another word for a proper garden tool that those guys use to describe Marika meaning the Tarnished is one of Marika's offspring, and not just some human fallen from grace
* gets big ass sword in head * Talks about how much pain he's in * rips sword along with his entire head * still alive somehow * becomes the lord of Gotham Asylum
@@amwazdraws6890 I'm wondering the same thing, I have a theory that you should use the emote they give you after the final boss somewhere but I've tried and can't find where
Helphen, GEQ, Death Birds, Outer Gods, Radagon/Marika, demigod curses,BloodStar, God Devouring Snake, Two Fingers, Radahn and Selia Town, Rannis mentor, Just to name a few things I would have liked some concrete answer on for this being a 'final' dlc.
lol a DLC of a DLC lol or maybe another DLC of ED in general, I feel that i didnt get the story of this DLC i though Messmer was the main antagonist but no... it was Miquella and his insentious brother who tried to kill his beloved sister?? make it make sense
wait miquella is a guy or girl? or is it like a marika situation where it changes from chick to dude when ever it wants. and also makes babies with itself? im so confused
Spoilers: Turns out it was a plan of Miquella all along. He has the hots for Radahn to make him his consort, but he never want anything from him. So the reason why Malenia fight Radahn was to kill him, so Miquella can use his soul. But everything fails because Malenia never kill Radahn and only make him into a mindless monster. YOU are the reason why Radahn was put out of his misery. Meanwhile Malenia was suppose to kill Mohg after since that was the 2nd plan, mainly the reason why Miquella let himself get kidnaped. BUT again Miquella never count that Malenia end to even more crippled after her fight with Radahn. It was again the tarnish who did that unknowingly. The reason why you get to enter the other realm is because Leda mistook you for a follower of Miquella, since YOU were the the one who kill Mohg in the 1st place. The Radahn in the final fight of the DLC is just a mere copy of the original made by Miquella transfiguration of Mohg's body with Radahn's soul. He is just a flesh golem made out of the spiting image of Radahn in his prime. That is the reason why the fight goes 2nd phase much sooner, after you take 30% of his HP.
Maybe I’m just old and dense but I feel like anyone complaining about short cut scenes should just watch films or other media. This is a game that’s meant to be played and explored, not a movie.
It's funny that people complain about short cutscenes where every modern Fromsoft also have short cutscenes. It's just how they make their games. There's lots of good games with more emphasis on cutscenes so they're not short on supply either. It's frustrating
I just don’t agree. Which is fine. The fact that the DLC had more than three cut scenes impressed me considering their time frame they had for it and the size of the game for $40.
@@Cyn_likes_corpses Techincally you only need to kill 5 bosses to finish the dlc right? Rennala, Hippo, Mesmer, Centipede and Radahn? Or can you skip hippo and use the other entrance with the water draining?
@@Cyn_likes_corpses It checks out because you can get to specimen storeroom by going through the water draining part of shade castle. Just read some others have done that. Craziness to not go in the front door of shade castle ahaha.
None of this makes sense. This would make Merica (yes call me slow. I don’t know how to spell her name )the main mastermind behind everything but why this was Game of Thrones but the game was rigged in Merica’s favor the whole time. But why, in the end this solve nothing she literally obliterated her whole family for no reason.
Soo… did Malenia get screwed or did she know he favored and obsessed over Radhan more or what’s going on? I never get to play the games but I’m obsessed with the lore! 😁
Young Lion's Helm [5270000] The golden helm worn by Radahn in his younger years. Proudly displaying his heroic red hair, it is fitting attire for a lion. When Malenia, Blade of Miquella, let the rotflower blossom in Aeonia, Radahn heard a murmur in his ear- "Miquella awaits thee, O promised consort." It looks like she was in on it based on this, the main characters all talk about some sort of vow, so that must be her end of it
malenia believes miquella can cure her and make the world better if he ascend godhood with radahn as the consort, also why in the final fight miquella said give the elden lord path to them instead of the player, so miquella can shaped the world in his way
Without having played it yet but watching my friends play it and watching the cutscenes, I'm guessing what they wanted to do with the story of the dlc was sort of how Hirata Estate in Sekiro ended with the revelation that Owl betrayed you there. However, given that it wasn't Radahn that was the progenitor of this grand plan but instead Miquella, as well as there not being as much gravitas and difference with this compared to fighting Owl Father, i think this is where the ending of this dlc fell flat. I do agree that the final boss should've been someone of a bit more magnitude in the story, maybe Godwyn or or even the Gloam-Eyed Queen (a Dark Melina could've been an interesting concept).
Fromsoft’s first L. This games lore was so complicated and convoluted, i knew it would be a hefty task to try and add even more into it. I used to be a BB and Dark Souls lore nut, but I really dislike this games story unfortunately
Imagine spend 40 bucks for copy pasted bosses from old games + Reused Assets for the final boss (that ruins the lore of the base game and destroys the perfect story that was Elden Ring)
? It's good. Just because they don't spoon feed you lore and you actually have to play the game doesn't make it bad I'm almost done with the DLC just on the last boss but I've read almost every item description I've picked up and a lot of the story is told through those items and the NPCs and in my opinion the lore is on par if not better than dark souls
