First time I got to the second phase of the Divine Beast Dancing Lion, I died because the music just blew me away. This was the first boss I defeated in this DLC and I'm already blown away.
My first boss was Rellana but when I arrived to the dancing lion I wasn't expecting the boss music to have a skill gap, needing to focus on the fight without jamming to such a piece
I remember a review where they said the music in the dlc want not all that memorable or interesting. What in the hell were they smoking? Cause they need to get off that sh*t
@@ShikiRyougi05 with bb i completely agree. But with ds3 not so much. I personally find Kitamura's style to be a bit redundant compared to ER ost, but that's just me I guess
Lord of Frenzied Flame is beyond epic with those drums and choir in the background. 1:23:40 Such a throwback to Dark Souls, so dark, menacing, chaos unending.
1:34:27 - 1:35:12 Part feels twisted, like something isn't quite right. After 1:35:12 i think it fits the "gentle god" that promises gentler world, inspiring hope, mixed with great warrior spirit theme that is suppose to provide safety for that better world.
0:43:18 Mother, have you forgotten me? Why did you abandon me? Why didn't you come back for me? are you angry with me? Didn't I do everything you wanted? Did I not lead this crusade in your name? Mother!!!! Why did you leave me? Why did you leave?... I'm alone, I'm tired if I made you angry, I ask your forgiveness oh mother, I... I will continue doing your will! and Those stripped of the Grace of Gold will find death. In the embrace of Messmer's flame... until the day you finally return to me, mother.
They fought knowingly they could never stop you, yet they still gave it their own for their cause in the battle, which makes it even harder not to feel sad about it.
I thought about it and since the more similar part comes in during the 2nd phase of malenia, im guessing that is the leitmotif of the outer god of rot itself
Only on the second phase transition too, which is interesting. The strings/or maybe violin(I think) sound exactly the same as Malenia ls second phase right as the piece transitions.
Romina (Spoilers) is the reason scarlet rot exists, iirc. Her remembrance says that "After the church was burned to the ground, Romina discovered a twisted divine element, which she weaved into the baleful scarlet rot. Perhaps then, the buds might find somewhere to gain purchase once more, within the scorched remains." Also apprently when Malenia died, Romina called them and became their new mother I guess. "The scarlet butterflies are as the Goddess of Rot's wings. Bereft of a master, they were soothed by Romina, who reached out to them."
Not only did they create the best boss ever in the history of gaming in my opinion in the form of the lion dancer but they also managed to top their previous soundtrack what the hell?
why do you think the lion dancer is the best boss oat? i fought it and don’t get me wrong i thought it was cool but i wouldn’t put it top 10 fromsoftware, just curious why it’s your fav
@@imrighturwrong3629 the design really calls to me(something about the Lionhead being controlled by a bunch of people and having it dance just triggers my autism). I fought it at a point where it was kind of a perfect difficult for me. I personally really enjoyed the moves as well because of the way they flowed so smoothly still carried a lot of weight. also I love the concept of it changing elements every so often and it feels really dynamic. Overall, if I had to say my other bosses are in my top for three, it would probably be Ludwig and malania. What have your favourite bosses of the DLC been?
Yes indeed it does, fun fact this musical technique is called a motif, as in it refers to a previously established musical melody as a way to tell you something about the character or situation they are in.
After first hearing it seems like it‘s Twin Moon Knight, even though it is not completely the same arrangement, seems more like a mix of the gameplay trailer and godskin apostles OST.
those united in common cause is the best ost of ALL of elden ring in my opinion, it's such a great theme for an absolutely awesome and sad moment in the game, and you really feel that in the soundtrack
*It still seems strange and a little sad to me that Rellana's music (a.k.a. from the first dlc trailer) They took away so many things that made it so good, I mean, not even the violin part is there.* *Of course, the OST is still ok, but I prefer the one in the trailer.* *On the other hand, the OST of the story trailer was left completely as it was heard in said trailer.* (The Saint of The Bud / The promise Consort - Second phase)
@@michelecais4111 It's more the final part of the song, it reminds me a bit of the more upbeat songs from Bloodborne, like Gascoigne OST, but looking at what you said, it really isn't as similar as it could be in my opinion.
1) Lord of Frenzied Flame 2) Godfrey 1st phase 3) Radagon Official tier list. Honorable mention to Mohg, Godrick, and several others. My only gripe is that Messmer’s theme is weak in comparison to how epic he is in every other way. Second phase is a little better, but first is kinda uninspired.
@@dreadkingrathalos8291 just don’t. Also I was wrong. I’m on like ng 3 and this is still pretty rough. Last boss is borderline impossible, and I do truly mean that.
Those united in common cause…. When that shit came on and all your allies come in to back you up after getting jumped went so hard I legitimately started tearing during that fight
ngl each boss ive fought so far has felt kinda bs and annoying in their own way, but bayle is just pure instanity and fun. i love that fight and his song
Miquella played everyone for his scope. And while his objective was to create a world of peace and safety he would have been the only one in power which would have resulted in a tyranny considering Miquella literally charmed everyone into following him
