Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Reaction (aka simping for Messmer for 10 mins straight) 

One of the coolest theories I’ve heard for Messmer the Impaler is that he is one of Marika’s first children, perhaps her first born. The evidence for this is the dead fire giants on the mountaintops, who have all been impaled by stakes that closely resemble Messmer’s spear. And since the war against the giants occurred fairly early during Marika’s reign, that would make Messmer incredibly old.

If the DlC doesn't have 5 gigantic swamps that give you death blight, sleep and frenzy at once, imma be dissapointed

in my opinion that didnt sound like nepheli at the end of the trailer, it sounded more like ranni to me.

It's strange that Messmer looks very blasphemous, wielding fire similar to Rykard, the snakes, dragon communion. Yet he talks like he follows the golden order. That all makes me think that he has a "I sacrifice my soul to understand my enemies, so that the golden order may survive" kind of mentality.
