this boss is really just "hey learn how to dodge this fucked up 8 second combo" and then everything else is just weird timings and mind bending spacial perception. I don't dislike it, though. Don't dislike any boss in this dlc; I think they went a very smart approach of trying to make them all hone in on fundamental gameplay mechanics rather than giving them absurd gimmicks. Not to say they don't have some gimmicks, but properly timing your rolls, healing safely to avoid being punished, and spotting punish windows: that's what these bosses all reward. People forget, but many bosses in the main game actually aren't very good at teaching those things. Often they feel much more random and less intentional, and some of them rely too much on ~animation reading~ rather than just having unpredictable mixups and good attack coverage. Lots of those bosses are great too, of course.
I’m glad you died to this P knight guy a bunch too. He doesn’t seem like the kinda dude who would be this hard, but he just does a ton of damage even with blessings.
Took forever for me to figure how to get to this area. Legit missed the spot to drop down despite checking 3 times. Putraescene Knight is one of my favorite bosses of the dlc, the design and fight is amazing!
I feel like Miquella might not have control over his divine charm; it might be a question of not being to resist his charisma. He also does obviously care for both Godwyn and Malenia, seeing as everything he's done thus far has been to fix their problems
man, i havent finished the dlc, but as of yet, the putrescent knight, for me, has the greatest increase in fun from the first to last try. that guy felt so weird to fight at first but, similar to your last try, it was an amazing feeling to dodge all the attacks that absolutely wrecked me at the beginning over and over again to get that last bit of dmg in. great freaking boss.
