Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Reaction (i've never played Elden Ring) 

Don't be scared of any of it, its worth all of it and I personally was like that for the longest time and I shouldn't have. Also Elden ring is on the faster side of the franchise.

Don't worry about too much lore or slow paced, the game is very much completely up to you on how you experience it, there's everywhere to go but also clear paths to make sure you don't get too lost or clueless

Much like Fromsoft's other predecessor games to Elden Ring, Dark Souls and Bloodborne, the story and lore for these games is often very obtuse. Rarely are you told anything outright, a lot of clues are found in item descriptions, and much can be left up to interpretation. Hollow Knight is a lot like a soulsborne in this way, actually - it has a very definite and deep lore, but you can easily play through the game barely understanding or even caring about most of it. Some of the older Souls games are more slow paced, but they aren't really slow games at all, not if you don't want to play them that way at least. You just can't button mash - unlike other action rpgs, you can't hit another action if you make mistake and expect to cancel out of an animation. If you hit a button, like an attack or dodge roll, your character is mostly committed to that animation. Bloodborne is designed a bit faster paced on purpose too, as it really pushes the player into an aggressive playstyle that better suits the game. All of the Souls-likes are like Hollow Knight in that perseverance against the challenge is part of the key gameplay loop - most all enemies respawn when resting at checkpoints, you need to recover your experience/money from your last death or its gone forever, and death is not something to get frustrated about, its a learning experience, especially against bosses. This is why people consider Hollow Knight a Souls-like even though its a metriodvania at heart, and there is a huge overlap in enjoyers of both. Although Bloodborne was made by Fromsoft, it was made as an exclusive for the PS4 in collaboration with the now-closed, Sony-owned Japan Studio, and Sony owns the rights to the IP entirely. They decide if anything is done with it. And Souls fans have been begging for Sony to do something, *anything* with it for years (there is no PC port despite much newer Sony games getting ports, hell the game doesn't even have a 60 FPS patch, it still is at 30 FPS with no antialiasing on the PS5). The recent news was just that an interviewer asked Miyazaki (the game director of all these games and now president of From) if a remake was possible. He had a non-answer that he's glad people are so enthusiastic, and that remakes sometimes depend on new hardware (likely alluding to the progenitor game, Demon's Souls which was a Sony PS3 exclusive, getting a remake for the PS5 by Sony hiring third-party studio Bluepoint to do it). Basically Fromsoft can't do anything with Bloodborne, its all up to Sony, and they still aren't doing anything to it. That being said, Bloodborne is one of the best games of all time. If you are new to Soulsbornes, then either Bloodborne or Elden Ring are great entry points. Elden Ring though is a bit... massive. Like, no kidding a humongous game; if you are aiming to play it by April, get started now. I'd played all the Fromsoft games previously and my first playthrough of ER still took 140 hours.

The best thing about reacting to this trailer without context from the lore of the base game is that you cant get confused and think Messmer is Miquela. Insted we get him confused for Melania.

This game has the fastest combat or the slowest combat. it all depends on how you play the game. As for the lore, don't worry too much about it honestly. I didn't and I only really looked it up because I was bored and it opened a whole can of worms. I really recommend playing it, it's a really freeing game that doesn't hold your hand and lets you really make every decision you want.

well, if you play it yourself it doesnt feel as slow since u have to decide what to do and where to go etc. all the time, other than that, give the game a shot, its not as hard as people say it is, dont know if you play good or whatever, it doesnt even matter, ive seen people beat the game as their first game ever basically, and its obviously great looking etc. i cant imagine anyone not liking the game after beating a couple bosses and learning how the game works, WELL THANKS for the reaction tho

Elden Ring is definitely the most accessible of the FromSoftware games, so if you ever feel the itch, it’s all there for you. If you want pure speed gameplay tho, I would suggest Sekiro.
