It's funny that in a game full of magical creatures like giants, wizards, dragons, etc. most of our most hated enemies are basic ass animals like dogs and birds.

Really shocked there's no mention at all of the greatsword dual wielding banished knights. They teleport to you and have combos that last forever

The worst part of a lot of them is that they don't really drop anything valuable nor do they give a substantial amount of Runes...making it not even worth the trouble

The worst enemy in the game is the dragonfly.

The blood dogs don’t merely attack you twice. They hit you for full damage for every single frame they make contact with you. It ends up being excess of 10,000 damage

You forgot the rats. I got 60 vigor with morgotts great tune. Missed my first strike and got stun locked down to almost nothing before I have a chance to dodge away. There were 4 rats.

Tip: you can throw a magic dart at the imps in the catacombs and it will corrupt him, and make him attack his fellow imps. Pretty useful when theres many around.

The spectral banished knights in the castle Sol are the most OP regular enemies for me. They are harder than some of the bosses out there.

The Revenant Centipede monsters used to scare me, until i found out that you can deal a metric ton of damage and get a stagger out of them with the healing Incantations. They went from being my most top "avoid at all cost list" to me actively hunting them down.

What about the Basilisks? the frog-like creatures that inflicts death

Some tips for those who might need them: 1. If you having trouble with crows -- instead of trying to keep distance and waiting for an opening try hugging their legs -- it's the safest spot when you fight them, they almost never be able do hit you there, just be warry of their fake poise break grab and fly stomp. 2. With T-Rex dogs guard break is good, because you avoid getting staggered and almost always hit their head for extra damage and poise break afterwards. Also like all animals -- fire is good against them. 3. For imps -- strike weapons are the best for melee builds to dispose of them as quick as possible 4. With bears never attack them to their face, wait for them to make a move and roll through them to get to their back, then strike once or twice and prepare for their next move. If they do combo roll through each attack until the end and then strike. Don't try do block them or keep distance and of course fight one at a time. 5. For centipede monster -- your best tactic is to aoe heal them while they approaching you. You can hold a spell ready for quite some time and release it once they get close. Not only it deals tremendous damage to them but also always poise break them on every hit, no matter how much faith you have. If you do not have aoe heal use guard break, even if you don't use shields. It seems their attacks are extremely weak against block, even against weapon block. Otherwise they almost never give you an opening, so block and counter attack is the best tactic if you don't want to heal them for some reason. 6. Lobsters -- similar to bear -- never attack them to their face, try sticking in their back. After octopuses they are the most slowly rotating enemies in the game, just roll from their jump. Easiest way to fight them -- on a horseback, since with additional speed you have no problem staying close to their butt and avoid jumping attack. 7. With all regular dogs, wolves, rats and other regular animals -- the most fun way to fight them is to find beast-repellent torch and hold it in your offhand. It's so useful, since they're simple not attacking you until you start hitting them, so can easily kill everyone one around them without them hitting you in the back. Honestly, beast-repellent torch is probably my most favorite item in the game. 8. With iron maidens -- the best from my experience is lightning damage. If you use lightning spells it will also poise break them fairly quickly. But overall be patient. They are have a lot of opening since they have slow windups between they're attacks, so just don't overstay your welcome near them and roll back before they wreck you. Another reason to not attack them with long combos is to not be locked down in animation when they start grabbing move, because that one is particularly fast and needs immediate dodge. If they grabbed you -- spam dodge to release sooner -- this also works with most grabs in the game that hold you and do damage over time. 9. With dragons ALWAYS walk around them and to them from the left, because when the fly they will always breathe fire to your right and these are most deadly of their attacks (except unique dragons like rot, magic etc, but they also have breathing attacks so this rule should also help)

The Bleed Dog glitch isn't just that it strikes twice, it actually strikes every single frame because the game doesn't register that the attack hit. That means that shields are completely ineffective because it breaks your stamina so fast.

Personally I feel some amount of hatred for most of the enemies you encounter in Raya Lucaria. The mages, the relentless things with a bunch of arms, the tiny flying things, and of course the abductor virgins are all on my personal list of very annoying/frustrating enemies.

That whole area with the revenants in the haligtree area, it was absolutely tilting. Had to avoid them at all cost. Haligtree in general, the enemies there (especially revenant, demi humans, crystal guys) hit just too hard

After playing elden ring for 240+ hours, I can say some of the most annoying enemies are : 1. crucibal knights (don't mess with them, just run or attack from far. They have ability to kill you in two shots regardless of your hp size. Besides they have combos and long tail), 2. Revenant soldiers. Oh my god. They just don't stop hitting you. They have multiple hands and they can kill you in two seconds. 3. Dogs, rats and birds (of all sizes) small dogs and birds can be killed by long range attacks. One attack is enough. You can use shield against small dogs. They first bark for 2 seconds and then attack twice consequently. So use shield and then attack. Bigger problem is big birds and dogs. Birds especially found in the later part of game that causes blood loss.. Brothers, do not mess with them.. Just Leave them alone or use long range attack. They are very fast and they can kill you in two shots.. 4. Full grown scorpion boss found in the mountain gelmir.. Oh god, even with mimic, they are pain in the head. Level up good and get an OP weapon along with an op incantation spell. I don't understand why he found torrent annoying. Torrent is the best part of the game. Torrent saved my life countless times in the game.. If you die from the height then it's not torrent, it's the game.. Use stones to check the danger.. 😂

The Big Birbs/T-Rex Dogs and Rune Bear fall into the same category for me, which is "no windup tanks." They all have moves where there might be a windup, but it occurs while you're still rolling out from or stamina recovering from their last hit. It leads to this ridiculous loop of having to dodge roll out of their big hits only for their next windup to be over so you keep dodging until your stamina is gone, then by the time its recovered they're already starting the process again. For some of them even summoning Torrent doesn't put enough distance between you to escape the process. This places them above several dedicated boss enemies for me especially if you aggro more than one st a time.

For anybody struggling with runebears, try to stay at their left rear leg (your right) that’s the best way I’ve found to deal with them, the real problem is how much health they have, but that’s a problem with damn near every enemy in elden ring

I would have added in the spectral banished knights of castle sol and the minotaur snipers/archers, but when trying to figure out where they would go in the top 10, I realize I just hate a ton of enemies in this game xD Crucible knights are my usual "AVOID" enemies, but they don't really count as regular enemies seeing as they don't respawn - thank god.

The Rune Bears are weak to sleep (I literally always keep at least 3 sleep pots crafted in case one pops out of nowhere) and the those centipede, grafted thingys are super, super weak to any area of effect healing spell. Along with the cursed horse riders. It not only normally takes 90% of their health but leaves them stunned enough where you can quickly finish them. Oh, and the hand spiders just roll around, helpless, whenever you hit them with any kinda fire. That one I figured out on my own.

I love that pretty much every enemy that isnt a basic soldier or dreg is being named in the comments. My only fear in this game was anything that is big enough to do massive poise damage, strikes so fast that dodge rolls still get you clipped, and has attacking windows too small to punish. That and the invis black knife assassin in the "secret area".

The first time I encountered the bladed hawks, there was a player message that said "try guard counter" and it worked so well for me that the hawks were never a problem. Not even the fire spitting ones. They're a breeze with a quick weapon and guard counters.

Man I absolutely 110% agree with your list. Torrent included. Man my top 3 will be those centipede monster the rotten dogs and the small imps. Like I absolutely despise them with all my heart.. Thanks for making the list. Now I know some one is sharing my pain (also playing a strength character so the pain is double with slow swinging colossal swords).

A good top contender (#1 imo) are the albinauric wolf riders in the consecrated snowfield. Their bows do massive damage, they reload their arrows super fast and can buff them to have homing triple magic arrows that do even MORE damage once they reach half health, they ride a dire wolf that has insane health and damage on top of the rider's damage, and they always show up with two or more wolves as bodyguards. You want to talk about enemies that make me absolutely rage and avoid at all costs. That's it. Oh...and they have a rare drop bow if you want to get all items in the game. so good luck on getting that.

You can kill the revenants with a healing incantation I wish I was joking but they basically lose tremendous health from those sigils so if you place one that stays for a bit you can kill them pretty quickly

You may not have seen them as they're pretty hidden, I only found them in a hidden area in Farum but the worm face enemies definitely belong here. They're just basilisks but with a lot of poise and health, especially the giant ones are hell to deal with and will give you death ailment quickly even if you're wearing armor with the most death resistance. Absolutely the worst enemies for me, and grateful they don't appear more

I'd rank the t-rex birds higher than the t-rex dogs, but especially the Mohgwyn Palace versions. They're absolutely horrible to fight. I'd rather fight runebears and revenants. If they showed up more regularly in the game they'd top this list hands down. We're fortunate they only reside in one small corner of one small area and are mostly avoidable. Same goes for the Albinauric Wolfback Archers. We're so lucky there's only a couple of them in the entire game. I was trying to farm their armor and spent most of my time facedown and looking like a pincushion.

The bow golems are super annoying aimbotting you across the friggin map

If this weren’t a top 10, I think most enemies in Elden Ring deserve a place in this list. Giant Land Octopus that can jump halfway across the map to get to you. Dragonflies that you can’t hit but constantly attack you for no reason. Skeletons that always come in groups, and prevent you from landing the final hit before they resurrect. Bats that fly too high to be hit and have annoying sonic attacks that stagger you. Plus the singing bats will try to poison you. Zombies that have an annoying grab attack that is difficult to dodge. Wormface that make Basilisks seem forever cute and harmless. Knights that hide behind shields and launch all kinds of bullshit attacks. Crucible Knights that hide under Havel’s bed at night. Wolf riding archers that are super tanky. The list just goes on and on…

I like how with the abductor virgins theres always a dog there that looks like hes giving you more trouble than the abductor... and that sums up dogs in Elden Ring perfectly :D

The Royal revenants are really weak to heal, but that’s the only “easy” way I’ve found to fight them

Use meteoric ore blade for the revinent centipedes. The ash of war does big damage and pulls them into you, while staggering them. One L2 and 2-3 slashes with an upgraded ore blade sure does the trick for those creepy crawlies

Minotaur archers with god tier aim… my absolute most hated enemy at any level. They just never miss, at ridiculous range I end up looking like a pin cushion!!

For the haligtree guys (the grafted dudes) just use healing miracles, it damages them because its “holy damage” and they are the opposite of that.

Those birds kept me from finishing stormveil castle on my arcane build so long I started another playthrough and had no trouble with them with my mage.

I disagree with the order you placed some of these enemies, but every single one does deserve a spot on this list. Well done!

I guess the only reason The Camera is not on the list is because it's a boss, The Camera Boss. It is THE NUMBER ONE killer in the game. When The Camera Boss teams up with a group of random mobs, you just die. And you don't even see what kills you. You're frantically trying to lock on to your attackers but The Camera Boss makes it so you only lock on to some random bird far in the background in the very opposite direction of where the danger comes from.

Good list. I also hate those harpies that can grab and one shot you with their scream attack.

Some notable additions: 1) the one mage singing siren/bat on the secret path to the Altus plateau. It just hovers off the edge of the cliff and spams spells at you over and over again while you can’t hit it unless you have a good ranges weapon, even then it can just dodge your ranged attacks. Moreover, because it spams spells its AI make it want to stay far away from you so it’s basically impossible to bait it back within stringing range. Also, it essentially a mandatory fight because you have to climb a long ladder right next to it so it will just keep knocking you down if it’s still alive. 2) the marionette puppets. These guys are so anoying and attack so quickly that I will avoid them if possible. The problem is tho that the game puts them on rooftops and tight unavoidable areas so you don’t really have a choice but fight them sometimes. Also the bow ones are the worst. 3) the fucking squid faced monsters that spew death mist. I mean i don’t even know if I need to justify this. They are just more annoying basilisks and everyone who has played any Dark souls game knows how annoying those fuckers are. 4) the two invisible backstabbing assassins in that one area that has the teleporter to the haligtree. If you don’t have that one special torch these guys (well technically girls) are basically impossible to see and they do incredible damage, plus unlike the boss fight one in the room with the pond you can’t tell where they are by looking at the ground because for whatever reason they don’t leave footprints. Other honorable mentions: the pincushion albunarics in the moghwyn dynasty area, the fire tanks, the big snowman guys (the largest ones) who shoot bubbles that do insane damage in the haligtree area, the enemies that fire the ballistas/flamethrowers, probably a bunch more that I can’t think of at the moment.

quick tip for those poison human centipede freaks is to use a heal incant. it does a bunch of damage and will knock them down so you can do weak spot attack and that usually kills them.

Great video! I also hate the pages at least the ones that shoot three bolts simultaneously which can one shot you at high health. And the ancestral archers are an absolute nightmare with their pinpoint accuracy. Literally if any within a mile spot you, you have to get off torrent and dodge roll until you lose them

Invisible Black Assassins when doing that puzzle in ice mountains where you light 4 flames. Instantly #1 for me, a backstab that will 1-shot most non-heavy vigor builds from the shadows and there's like 5 on the ground. Also, I would like to say the Magic Ultra buff HP giant on Calid Cliff side that shots three Soul streams would be on this list. (This giant is at the bottom where you talk to one of the ghosts who want their paintings)

8:53 mass healing or any kind of area healing effect will deal massive and significant damage to those things.... the stronger the heal the stronger the damage.

I don’t know what you’re talking about with the bloody crows. A single arrow usually takes them out for me :)

for rune bears try staying under them near their rear legs and 2-3 charged attacks will stun them, once i found this out they're pretty easy just make sure your using a fast swinging weapon, personally i found the morning star useful for this strat throughout the game

The Caria Manor is creepy. When I first got to the Caria Manor, I thought there were spiders crawling around and I was like “Oh cool, spider enemies.” I looked closer, yeah those definitely weren’t spiders.

The dog glitch is actually just a constant hitbox for the duration of the attack resulting in around 30 hits instantly

I totally agree with your top 3 and your top 2 is actually my top 1. I'm surprised you don't talk about the big wolf , my top 2 , who appear as a miniboss , especialy the version we can have in the blizzard.

I farmed the imps for the cat mask as soon as I started playing, so got used to how to fight them. they're still annoying, but they're not the worst when you get used to them.

The bleed dog actually hits you at the speed of the framerate so 60 times per second, This is because the string of code that clears the damage after the hit is received never triggers. So if you find yourself in the hit box for damage calculation, you will take damage on each frame you remain inside the hitbox. To us it seems instant, but it actually takes like 4-6 frames to bleed you out. Zullie the Witch did a quick 4 minute video on it and actually got a modder to reinstate the damage cleared string and fix the bug. Pretty interesting bug. Imagine if you could remove that string for your attacks. O.O

For the revenants, there is an easy way that I found to kill them. Get the Banished Knight halberd from Edgar the Revenger. Once you kill him, level it up to atleast +9 and add either sacred ashes of war or flame strike ashes of war and the damage will increase significantly. It also helps if you have leveled up your strength & dexterity to decent levels. Adding onto that, there is a boss version of those revenants; I don’t remember if it’s in that same area in Liurnia or if it’s somewhere else.

best way to deal with the centepede monsters in the Haligtree area that I found was using the mimic tear and beating up on them 1 at a time because you can get the 2 split and the other one spawns out of the ground when you go for the rune in the little archway right in front of it.

I would put the rot dogs far down on the list, considering how rare you find those. The Rune bear and those aggressive revenant things are by far the worst for me. Those are the only enemies whom strike fear into me everytime I face one. The revenant things gets my award for being the most aggressive enemy type in the entire souls series (yes there are somethings that might be more aggressive, but they are nowhere near the mini boss health and damage tier)

I hate everything in dungeons, haha. Imps and archer skeletons that rise again is a pain in the ass. They are number one and two because you have to deal with them to get thru. The other ones you can often run pass. The most creepy is the fingers... My god do they scare me! 😅🙈 As an archer I try to erase as many obstacles in my way as possible from distance. I spend SOOO many runes on arrows, haha.

Trex caught me trying to loot the stage coach in Caelid, but I have a special grude for skellys and their necromancer.

I have a proven solution to the grafted scion monster, since you're using the thrusting sword this is perfect for you, get barricade shield on a shield that has 65+ guard boost and keep buffing it up every 8 sec or so, then just poke from behind the shield(do watch your stamina tho as poking still drains it) with this method all of its moves do absolutely nothing to your stamina Also for the bear, just roll towards it and try to stay under it, they're only hard to deal with if you try to stay away

If anybody's having trouble with number 2 all you gotta do is cast any healing spell and it will always stagger and or kill it in one cast

Zulie the Witch did a video on the bleed dog glitch. Essentially their hit box stays constantly active and doesn’t clear the cache, so it continuously does damage so long as the hit box is touching you. So it can be dozens to hundreds of hits in a single animation, which is why they can one shot anything.

The grafted centipede, litterally scares and makes me panic everytime, the only way I am able to defeat them is by spamming a fast weapon (I used dual twinblades) at them staggering them before attacking. Still hate them

Justin Case....the fog chests give you time to roll away before they transport you. I myself love finding new ones

Good list. Get the heal incantation, level up a seal a bit and just slam a heal down near a revenant. It takes maybe 2 casts but the first one will put the revenant in a long stun

When the abductors open their cage, they take a lot more damage. You just have to dodge the grab and then punish them.

here's my recommendations: for the flying opponents like bats, bats sirens, or hawks etc, use gravity magic to pull em down for imps, mostly easily break their poise by a guard counter revenants are extremely weak to healing rune bears are susceptible to sleep most beast creatures are afraid of the beast torch, for the others just goodluck on dealing with them, i just mostly pick em one by one to avoid being overwhelmed

When fighting those annoying hawks I found out that using the twinblades with spinning slash ash of war makes short work of them. A similar ash of war might work too but that's what worked for me.

I found the birds pretty manageable in my play-through, I was mostly using the Guardian Swordspear, but I think any weapon with a large enough reach should do the trick

Zullie the witch says that the dogs damage is looped, so every frame you're in contact with them, they do damage

Guard counter on those hawks with the knife feet makes them trivial

Two words: Ancestral Follower I hate those sooo much. They’re my number one. You can’t go anywhere without getting sniped up the butt. Aside from that, the list is perfect!

With rune bears you just have to play against your first instinct and roll towards them and be aggresive against them. You counter most of their damage if you basically just stick to their body. With revenant it's easiest to just kill them before they complete their spawning animation.

How about your favorite enemies video? Also with the hand spiders, if you use something with fire damage like Eleanoras poleblades they are easy to kill. It staggers them with each hit and they roll around in a frenzy when hit. Bleed +fire is the key to them.

I managed to cheese the “Revenant Centipede Monster” you first encounter in Liurnia by taking out the extra mobs one by one and then kiting the big bad on Torrent while spamming the bell acquired in the same ruins.

High health isn't going to save youfrom bleed as its a percentage, you need to up other resistance like vitaly, it also helps slows death blight. Check resistances in stats they really make a difference to pay attention too, its the difference between one hit bleed kill, or 5 full bleed bars to kill.

How about crucible knight?

I agree. Most of my deaths are either from Bosses or from Torrent. I couldn't even guess the number of times that Torrent dismounted for no reason in the middle of a fight when I wasn't hit. I actually had to disable crouching just so that Torrent wouldn't randomly kill me over and over again at the most inconvenient times. This comes from the fact that the joystick used for steering is also the button to dismount, which also happens to be the crouch button. Elden Ring is a fun game, but the controls could use a lot of work.

Hey tip for the hands! They are very weak to fire and will get stunned for like 4 seconds if you do even a little pit of burn damage to them. It works on both small hands and big hands Also i do like the T Rex dogs. Also the Rotten dogs might stay this way tbh lol. I mean fromsoft never fixed the Teleporting Dogs in Dark Souls 3 so it whoudnt suprise me lol.

Hey man, those remnant guys are weak to healing spells. If you use a AoE heal it like stuns them and knocks them down.

Not many people know this, but Revenants are easy to deal with: As soon as they spawn, run up to them before they start their attack animation and cast a healing incantation with your seal. The revenants will suffer a huge amount of damage and as a bonus, they get staggered. I am pretty sure that the stronger the healing incantation is, the greater the damage towards these revenants are applied. (For example: Urgent Heal < Heal < Lord's Heal) However, I'm not sure whether the damage scales with the player's faith or the seal's level...

Useful Tip for the Revenant legged freaks any holy healing incarnation easily wrecks them dead in a snap.

Big tip on dealing with revenants, use the better heal spell near them it can one shot kill them most times

So good tip for Revenants. If you have a healing spell, it instantly breaks their stance and you can just spam it and it will kill them so fast. It has a range too you can be like like 10 feet away from them and they will STILL get fucked up.

Mine #1 is crucible knights. Because they have thick armor that negates to halve your attack, they love to fast close distance to rollcatch with stomp spikes or thrust long endless attack to prevent from healing. They only weakness is parrying. But it is hard against such a formidable adversary.

Some of these monsters, like the doggo rexes and the imps, are extremely vulnerable to being guard countered. One or two will guarantee a stagger even with a light weapon, and even in packs you can use the i-frames from the staggered critical to avoid damage. Also, the hand spiders are extremely vulnerable to fire, and writhe around for a second after getting hit by it, which gives you an opening. There's nothing to be done for those crow asshats though, and don't even get me started on perfumers. Oh, and crucible knights - not an impossible enemy normally, but they're tankier than the Kursk salient and the windows between their attacks are too small to heal so you cannot make even a single mistake while fighting them, because the range on that delayed stab they use when you're not hugging their branchy heads like a murderous koala could hit you from another country.

Don't forget the knights in Lyndell with the super strong shields, the ulcerated tree spirits, and those stupid things at the Zamora ruins in mountaintops
