Haha my brother got the bks on that first knight too, steamrolled the whole game that I struggled through with a greataxe. Beat AoS with a +3 great axe on my first playthrough. That took a while 🤣🤣🤣

I enjoy it a lot! I am such a sucker for dark fantasy and gothic setting in games, I loved diablo 1 and 2 and Dark Souls gives that vibe a little bit.

Wait till the next video when I get to the Lower Undead Burg, that was a "fun" and "easy" one haha

Hehe funny fact, when I wrote that like for the script it was initially "nothing comes close except maybe Skyrim" but then I scraped that haha, I have thousands of hours in Skyrim and still play it, it's in my top 5 games for sure.

Yes I will play DS3 and also all souls-borne games, I can't wait to play them all. Really DS2 is your favorite, I wonder why? I know it has a bad reputation between them.

@@FIREHIVE Oh man I could talk for hours about why DS2 is seriously underrated but i'll give a short summary here... The main reason it is so disliked is because DS1 was so loved and the (back then) small and hardcore fanbase went ballistic when Miyazaki said he wouldn't be directing the sequel. Overall DS2 has: some of the best, most challenging bosses in the series who are incredibly interesting from a lore perspective and also unique; a massive assortment of weapons, spells and armour (I believe more than any other souls game including DLC); pvp/meta which is extremely balanced and allows for almost any build to be very viable/meta if you want it to be; very dynamic level design - not a single level looks similar to another and the atmosphere in each is very detailed; Majula is the best home/hub world in the souls series; some very interesting mechanics implemented such as entering dreams/past of certain characters to experience events which have already occurred in the lore; 3 DLCs which are each very challenging and rewarding; sound and lighting design which is iconic and better than DS3; a new game plus system which ACTUALLY makes replaying the game multiple times on one character not only rewarding but also pretty different every time for an added challenge; dynamic animation design choices such as weapon stancing and animations which make builds both more interesting functionally as well as visually; a very well crafted lore/story which follows on from DS1 in a good flow but also establishes its own story; I could go on and on. There are a lot of issues such as the 'adp' stat, the soul memory mechanic and a few more (mostly QoL) issues which were not addressed but in general I would say the game holds up a lot better than DS1 in most (i not all) respects.
