@@nicholassheavils209 Yeah, dudes stealth skills to just walk up with them was crazy, and to have initially plotted a way to get a seat near them in order to do so is insane. This dude clearly threw all of his skill points into intelligence and stealth, which actually does deserve its own completely separate award.
@@Exius-Zero I think he was already up there Edit: He wasn't walking up to the stage with them I don't think, but at 0:33 he magically appears and welcomes them on stage.
That kid really stood on that stage the entire speech like he was part of the team and hijacked the mic saying “hey my turn” followed by the most unhinged shit he was thinking of at that moment. What a madlad
@@Goodraxler omfg, you can't even mention anything about the nose people because its "antisemitic", bet they would be completely fine if he made a joke about a priest
@@emmanuelmolina836 supposedly that phrase is something that people are claiming is a dogwhistle on 4chan, which doesn't narrow down things in the slightest knowing anything can be a dog whistle these days
The fact that kid just walked up on stage, assimilated Miyazaki’s group, stood in the back the entire speech and after ninja acting his way the entire time as part of their troupe uses his Game of the Year Award speech time to say what he said just absolutely killed me lol
@@Henlak- To be fair, besides there being a lot going on in their head at that point, they're at an event where most people don't speak their language; they wouldn't want to possibly make a fuss by questioning everything they didn't get. Ye but sekiro is totally differemt from elden ring and the other souls borne so i feel like this was still deserved since dark souls 3 didn't get the recognition it should have
@@mrdisaster5880 i wouldn't say you're biased when there are tracks in the game like margit, morgott, godrick, rykard, godfrey, Malenia, Mohg and dragonlord placidusax
Ngl, gotta appreciate how respectful that kid was. He waited patiently for Miyazaki-sensei to finish his speech then respectfully took the mic to nominate Bill Clinton. A real class act.
@@aguajaneta No? would it been worse if he interrupted his speech and make his stupid sentence? as far as I concern this is pretty tame if you compare to other “Pranks”
@@Blue-Apple-fc9eo Im not saying it couldn't have been worse, im just pointing out that praising a kid for turning a well deserved moment of glory into a literal meme is not something we should be doing. But that's just my opinion.
@@aguajanetayou don't get it what that kid said was a meme elden ring winning goty is still a great and awesome moment for all gamers out there he totally didn't ruin the moment
We are lucky that kid had no bad intentions being so close and BEHIND Miyazaki. Security dropped the ball. Hope this teaches them a lesson because it's all laughs until it's the wrong person sneaking up there.
So undeserving you mean fromSoftware makes the same game every year with bosses that all play the same the only unique game they've made in the last 20 years was sekiro and even then that had a ton of similarities to the other games. I've never seen a franchise get so much praise for copying and pasting a game year in and year out
The fact the music stops, the devs wait for him to finish, the audience claps, and nobody able to stopped him made it so smooth that is hilarious and epic The only thing that’s dissapointing is that the camera changed angle
@@AzizAkery it's bc GoW is more of a story game, took me more than 20 hrs bc I wanted to complete all quest, but Elden ring definitely took way more about 200 hrs
@@AzizAkery Bro you literally said yourself you completed it in 20hrs that just means YOU skipped all the content not that there wasn't any. The average play takes from 30 to 60 hrs with 60 hrs if you complete all the quests and side bosses. And even after the game, there are like 20-30+ bosses(both major and minor).
I like how he casually walks towards the devs and moves with them. And then he pats the back of the devs. Actual "I belong here" energy. Then he nominates his friend Bill Clinton at the end. What a legend.
Miyazaki was genuinely surprised when Sekiro won Game of the Year. I believe he thought of it more as a passion project, and was okay with it if it didn't get much recognition. But Elden Ring... he really poured everything he had into that one. All his drive and ambition went into this game. So much so, that ambition and drive are core themes within the story of the Tanished. Knowing that, it was true joy to see how genuinely happy this win made him. I'm sure he was feeling like he tried his best, and succeeded.
Which is rly weird since sekiro is a near flawless masterpiece and (arguably) Much better than elden ring (Argue with a wall actually this isn't arguable)
Sekiro combat is pleasantly better than other souls game. I do really hope they implemented it on elden ring back then, but yeah, elden ring won because overall the game has more to offer
@@genichirodiestwice4186 nothing comes close to elden ring, Gow is an exception but still elden ring is just a marvel in world design and technical achievement.

@@DHGxMcFlurry that doesn't even make sense bruh, there 100x more regular action games like gow than there is proper souls games. You're just looking for an excuse for L.
This man is 48 years old. He has so many decades left in his already outstanding, illustrious career. I can't think of anyone else outside of Shigeru Miyamoto who has done so much to influence the course of this incredible, ever-changing industry. Congrats, Miyazaki-san. You have truly earned this accolade, and everything else that is yet to come.
@@doolenny9458 Fantastic comparison. I am 37 years old. I was playing Ocarina when I was 13. The same sense of wonder permeates every inch of Elden Ring. For Miyazaki to have actually recreated the childlike sense of exploration my 13 year old mind felt (at 37!) is an incredible feat. Elden Ring surpassed the original FF7 this year to become my favorite game ever. I was THAT enamored with it.
No micro transactions, Game fully complete on day of release, consistent updates and batches in response to the players concerns. This should be standard set for all major gaming studios going forward

Overrated AF game. 1. Clunky combat 2. Prehistoric game design from 2000s 3. Over powered bosses 4. No difficulty settings 5. Ordinary graphics Only caters to hardcore DS gamers doesn't mean you win the game of the year GOW or Horizon deserved it more.
You can tell by the standing ovation and overall cheer of the crowd that Elden Ring deserved to win. Everybody knew it and everybody was happy it went to the right game. King Miyazaki
This is how pranks are supposed to be. Nobody was harmed (physically or psychologically,) he was respectful to the Elden Ring team by letting them finish their speech, and in the end, everybody had a good laugh.
He ruined a memorable moment for everyone involved. It would be like if I made a shitty joke while making a speech at someone's wedding or at another awards ceremony. It may not seem like a big deal to you, but those occasions and moments matter a lot to everyone. Tarnishing it (no pun intended) for everyone else is not a funny prank. It's just cringe and stupid.
And hey, the ending background music acutally stopped for him loool. But the one who control the cam is actually the smartest person in the shoot to switch the camera not to focus on this kid looool
Is it really? Cause I am starting dark souls 3 and i really don't get what all the hype is about. The game is confusing in every way possible imo. I don't know where to go, wether to be stealthy or attack everything since I might miss an important item or something. It's boring and annoying most of the time you are required to play on dead silence and the hit boxes and attacks are unpredictable and not to mention how you can't see anything have the fucking time

The first time I played Elden Ring, I was thinking throughout my playthrough Elden Ring's one of the best games I've played in a decade. It had to be game of the year 2022. I'm glad they won. Well deserved
As a god of war fan, Congratulations Elden ring and elden ring fans, i actually predicted elden ring to win. I'm so glad for you all it won. Atleast I'm able to respect it unlike other gow fans who are probably raging right now. Again Congrats and Have Fun Celebrating, also respect for for stray fans, sonic fans, and Every other fans out there. At the end of the day, games are games and we should respect each other for it. Wish you all a good day or night. (Also, I'm so Excited for Crash Team Rumble)
Yes!! I do think god of war has great audio, but Elden ring’s music is on a whole other level. It’s so intense and captivating, I sometimes just want to fight the main bosses again just for the music. From even made the music to accommodate to a character’s backstory and who they are, and what they are. Edit: should’ve mentioned the areas, too. The music for all the areas always gives you a certain vibe and feel to the place, giving you an idea of where you truly are and what the area is.
If that kid had bad intentions, he would have carried them through like a breeze. Crazy to think that how vulnerable everyone is at any given time and how easy it is to cause chaos.
Elden Ring not only lived up to the hype - it surpassed it! Hidetaka is a genius in the game development world and has revolutionized the industry. It’s nice to see that he also appears to be a very humble and sincere guy
I would say it actually set the bar too high for even itself, so even though it is GOTY for me and I sunk well over 200 hours into it the first month, that it somehow both lived up to its hype and didn't at the same time.
The random kid actually ushered the last two guys to go infront of him 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 everyone thought he was apart of their group, all while they were like who is this kid, he must be part of the stage crew 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I am really happy because elden ring must cross paths with GoW in this year , both of them is best game in their own ways . One with great narrative story and the other is full of game feel and beautiful combat. congratulations Elden ring .
When he walked on stage and the camera kept pointing on him, I was saying to my friends in discord that this dude is mad suspicious right now. Watch how he follows security and sees himself on camera. He kept walking closer to them being all sus.
Congrats to all games that were nominated for GOTY! But of course, there can only be one. Elden Ring deserved this win and I’m happy to have experienced a true masterpiece of gaming.
Yeah they gave gowr participation trophies. No shot gowr beats Xenoblade 3 even Hellsing and Er have better music. They deserved best narrative and best performance for sure though.
I feel like crying honestly. I love adventure games, mostly watching my husband plays, but i spent hours and hours watching the lore on YT. I can feel the passion and hard work being put here. Happy for them!
Yes!! This game was amazing! In all aspects emerged me within a different world! Kept me hooked the entire 100 hours. Loved it all and definitely deserves GOTY! 👏👏🔥
