At one time I had insomnia for about 3 years. I would pray all night and in the morning I had Joy. It was not fun, it might be said that it was similar to Lehi's dream. Going through darkness and coming to light in and with The Lord's help and gidence. It was a sacred space, like a meditation, being still and greatful to The Lord for His strength and love, He is might to save. His power brought through darkness into the light and I had Joy in the morning 💛🙏😇💛
Dearest friends! Today's discussion has stirred in me again the remembrance of sacred stillness we can live in, especially when the storms of life seem insurmountable. I pray for each of you to feel the power of the Savior's great love in all of it. Love you! ❤
I'm watching from Ogden Utah the replay 😊 I think of reverence! Reverence for the Savior and I feel this most in the Temple! Thank you for sharing your testimonies 🙏💕
We are getting our foundation reinforced in our home. The way they do that is by creating anchoring points all around the house. In Elder Bednar’s analogy I think he is suggesting that we anchor all of ourselves in the Savior. I believe that means involving the Lord in all aspects of our lives and not just in “spiritual matters” or “in times of trouble” or whatever special corner we think. He needs to be considered in every aspect of our lives.
I am listening to the Replay from the mountains of Northern Califorina. I crate still in my living room. I can also enjoy it in nature out my back door
I’m watching on repeat, for the second time today. What a spirit filled discussion this was. Thank you all for your comments. I attend the temple every Tuesday morning. Monday is usually my day to study anything that has to do with the temple and my covenants. Todays discussion has given me much to ponder tomorrow. Just what I needed.
I pictured us as more like BEING the rods that pierced Him. We must have such anchors in Bednars analogy, so using it more literally, we really are the ones that bruised and pierced Him because He suffered for US. He is sure because we can rely fully on Him because He did die for us. I love the connection!
I am a little late to the party as I am catching up on the discussions. But I wanted to point out the similarity in language between the scripture referenced 1 Nephi 14:14 and the language in D&C 109:22. Nephi is describing the promised blessing in DC 109!
The way I describe the feeling in sacred places is Home. Our true Home❤ Also, this is tremendous: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EFe84U__kt8.htmlsi=OER8BvaeSDSbOMEy
