@@giant_rat7781 Well, drag has had a such BOOM moment really quickly, so I kinda get that they’ve never been familiarized with Rupaul or any drag queen/king. However, if they respect it, it should be enough. This show ain’t precisely elder people friendly (sorry bout it). I think even some Parents with LGBTQ+ sons would be like “WTF IS THAT SHOW?” Even younger ones are like wtf is that? So... yeah, not everybody enjoys it or like it, but is a really groundbreaking show

The difference between Cathrine and Johnny is amazing. Johnny is clearly someone who has never opened up his mind to anything out of the ordinary. And doesn't think that the market is big enough to have more shows like RuPauls drag race. And then we have Cathrine who is a breath of fresh air. She is open and excited for everyone to have their own path. I love her. I wanna be like her when I'm older.

TBH I only watch the elder reacts to see Catherine. She’s the most eloquently spoken and seems to be so open to new things. Absolutely right, but in the past 60 years this wasn’t something that was talked about. Rupaul and Divine on the mainstream really made a cultural reset and brought back the term and more beyond it, so I’m glad that a looooot of people (even if they like it or not) is familiarized with the term nowadays

It does make me happy to see that even the Elders who don't necessarily like or agree with drag, or this show in particular, were at least respectful about it. Even saying things like "It's not my thing, but to each their own." is a step in the right direction. We have to remember that they were born and raised in a totally different time, and have lived many years thinking a certain way, and while we may not agree with their stance, it's not easy to just flip a switch and instantly think about something differently than what you were raised to think. Think about it in the reverse. Say you were raised to believe that drag was the norm, and suddenly someone told you that it was wrong or taboo. Would you immediately change your way of thinking? Probably not. It takes time, and work, and a willingness to open your mind to the fact the our world is changing, and we have to change with it. That said, I freaking LOVE RuPaul's Drag Race, and I hope they have the other generations react, too!

SuperJanGames For real. Especially those raised in the south. My dad is pretty open minded and not very hateful about sexuality or anything, but when he was little, people through around all kinds of insults, because at the time it was normal
