On this video I took in January 1991 is the Icelandic fishing vessel Eldeyjar-Boði GK in very rough sea in the entrance to Grindavík harbour.
In South and Southwest storm huge swells are coming from the Atlantic ocean and when they reach the shallow water at the coastline they break and at that moment they are very dangerous to ships.

That was a rough crossing! I thought it was going to capsize at 2:22. And that’s a big boat but was lost in the trough in those huge waves!

canonusubil that ship was built in Boisenburg Germany one of more then 20 same type built for Iceland around 1963 to 68

The band's name was "Hljómsveit Ingimars Eydal" or "Ingimar Eydal's band". The singer's name is Þorvaldur Halldórsson. The song (Walk tall) was written by the American songwriter Don Wayne and was recorded with Icelandic lyrics in 1965.
