Man, most of us can't even do an accurate foreign accent. Can you imagine playing someone with a foreign accent trying to mimic a different foreign accent? I think my brain would explode.

Funny story: I'm from Germany and was playing D&D with friends. We are playing the english version because we agreed, that the german version has some cringe translations. Most of us can understand and pronunce english words rather well (compared with the clishee), but it's difficult, if we don't know the word. A friend (new to D&D) was playing a Bloodhunter (with the subclass, that gets Warlock spells) and chose Eldrich Blast as a cantrip. Later, we played and she used the cantrip, pronuncing it like Caleb did. Me and one friend (also watching Critical Role) couldn't stop laugthing. Our poor friend didn't know what was going on. It was hilarious. (Sorry for my bad english)

ok so, quick story. i’ve been sobbing over this for 5 minuets, my boyfriend has a german accent and it comes out more when he’s upset, long story short our friends put him in this situation and we’re trying to get him to do an american accent and it sounded so much like how caleb mimics jesters accent, and his grammar was all messed up too aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

It's been years since this episode aired, and I'll still just sometimes randomly think back to Caleb saying "El...el ...elteritch bljeeeaasst", and then spontaneously burst out laughing.

Doing two accents at the same time is *incredibly* hard!! Once a long time ago, I was keeping a "slight" Scottish accent going for most of a workday, and tried to speak Spanish to a co-worker... I think something broke in my brain for a couple minutes...😅
