God he was probably like my great grandmother- there’s a story she always tells of the one night she (supposedly) was the life of the party. She’s self-admittedly tone deaf, so she never sings, but apparently she mixed liqueurs one night and heard the next day that she got *on top of the booth she was in,* like a *perch,* and started serenading random people with different snippets of songs she barely knew, trailing off and switching songs but always so intensely acting. A woman apparently came to that bar every night for a month in hopes of meeting her again, which my great grandmother still finds a little embarrassing and bewildering to this day. Now that I’ve told the story, I want you to imagine Caleb in that role. On the top of a booth, balancing precariously on this makeshift perch, screlting songs he’s improvising and barely knows, Eodwulf and Astrid cry-laughing nearby.

Wet Willy Sad. I choose sad. Definitely sad. Sad for days. I lay awake for ages wondering about Caleb's self-described younger, charming self, thinking about whom he might've been and what it took to make him the man he is now. I love Liam O'Brien but also I need him to stop hurting me. Pls.
