Stormbringer should have a bonus that gives your lightning a chance to apply flame shock. Lightning strikes cause fires all the time in the real world so thematically it would be on point.
This was my dream storm elementalist build I kept on wishing was a thing back since around Legion and BFA. So glad to see this Lightning build be a real thing now, after feeling forced to always be a fire elementalist!
Oh man this looks like something I would love to play! I always play resto but have not dps'ed on shaman since mastery overload was introduced a hot minute ago :)

The power that echoes and magma chamber offers together for earthquake and the damage of liquid magma totem, plus multi flame shocks is really strong and then of course the double dip ele cdr is too strong not to take with 3 talents next to each other. I can see a hybrid lightning/fire build being the best for keys HUGE earthquakes, chain lightning like crazy, on top of lots of storm eles on storm eles.
I like the look of the build so far. Storm elementals are cool, and new mastery looks great. New ice fury still looks clunky to me and I wish they would make it easier to spread flame Shock but still looks a lot more fun than s3/4 builds

I was really hoping to continue playing the Fire builds that i enjoyed throughout DF but was very disappointed to see that none of the core talents that enable Fire builds were being carried over with the rework (Rolling Magma, Primordial Surge, Windspeaker's, Season 3 set bonus, etc). I've been doing some decent numbers on beta using a hybrid build as Stormkeeper that plays a bit similarly to the Fire AoE builds of Season 2 in Dragonflight.
Thoughts on making Tempest replace both chain lightning and lightning bolt for smooth gameplay and making it apply a lightning rod at 150%? Better ST, better button, and smooth!
@@ZucoWoW 10% from Flash of Lightning + 10% from Stormcaller in the hero talent + 4% from Nature's Fury in the class tree you can even take the 5% you have standard and say u have 29 - 30% crit chance on nature spells
None of these are accurate at all until they fix the Ice Fury and Frost shock bug. The empowered shocks are doing WAY to much dmg and messing up dmg meters a ton.
It's not a big part of my overall damage. The damage here is pretty accurate. With this build I'm not pressing Lava Burst that much at all, so I didn't get many procs.
Aoe looks so much fun but ST is the biggest shit in the game atm. Its back to worlk playstyle. If it stays like this, which i never think, there would be no reason to play storm over fire in terms of competition. I hope they find a good solution here.
I would challenge you to play around with the talents a bit more. Make a lightning build that uses Ele Blast instead of Earth Shock and use Icefury and Fusion of the Elements. That will add an enormous amount of ST damage to the build.
