Eleanor SUCKS! Here's Why | Rise of Kingdoms 

Yepp Eleanor sucks due to her being made as a counter of Asher but her stats werent strong as recently released commanders. Also now we have more smite then ever.

This is a direct result of balancing OL where cavs are king. As a cav main I feel the pain although I don't see the situation changing. Use that gear as a cav rally and start building an inf/archer garrison set (slowly). There should be a decent rally commander in the next cav cycle

If you have the fort full they take 5k counters, if you get burned in any garrison with not a lot of reins it will trade negative

Eleanor is good in passes and she can be good in forts. The issue was the reins, those reins weren’t really that good actually. You should be using wedge with her, let her chunk down rallies and let Hera’s AoE help kill swarmers. People think that throwing Arch on garrisons is the go to when arch doesn’t play to Eleanor at all. Sure you might help with normal damage but you’ll get better results when you use the formations that synergize with that commander.

This trades are a mix of things tbh, your gear is a little behind 748's whales, so many running lvl5 on everything now, your armaments are ok, but again not competitive against 2748. And the real big issue was the reins, for over 50% of the battle of these ones shown you was at 1.5mil or under. But I do agree, Eleanor is very meh.

hi, it is a nice video, with good explanations. I can feel your pain for 100%, i did the same " mistake " by thinking eleanore was a good garrison and replaced Jan with her but when i saw the results with her in my current kvk i was pretty disappointed. in the end i started to use gorgo/attila ( with artefact ) in the current warriors unbound kvk in which i am. Investing in Eleanor was a bad invest at all. I expected her better after what i have seen in the Aoo´s before, but yeah, i feel your pain. Also i felt bad when i was hyped and mentioned anyone to join my garrison and in the end i have to admit that i asked my people to join me for a suicidal mission with bad trades which make me feel bad for everyone who joined my garrison afterwards. Only thing where eleanor is good for is defending none focal points where there is only a rally coming up to you with small swarming. But for key garrisons she is not useable imo. So i can absolutly agree with your video.

Does Eleanor does better with mix troops to get the 20% less normal dmg from Hera? I saw most reports was all cavs?

I'm very glad i didnt max her. anyone still doubting this, go watch chisgule's KL fighting streams, any of them, and see what happens any time eleanor is in a garrison. cavs are purely for field now. PS: I will say that your gear and armamnets are NOT good for an A seed garrison lead.

In the current meta you need a lot of counterattack, I think that is the big difference between good garrisons and indispensable garrisons.I said it many times, cavs suffer from their own success, they do not receive AOE because of their great damage, they do not receive good garrison because they already dominate AO and the open field.

Wouldn't use arch. use wedge. Buffs the aoe which is better than the buff for counter. She's not meant to counterattack anyway. 🤷‍♂

just bad reinforcing. If you can keep all full, your trade would be positive. You just fail to reinforce. It happens to every single garrison if you fail to keep it full.

So its vulnerable to swarm.. oki. Y'all didnt have field control a single time. The ticks on the Justin weren't bad. Some garrisons are best against just a rally, some are best being swarmed. Is what it is.

The new archer commanders arent in game yet why would u use eleanor for garrison or did i miss something

eleanor doesn’t suck, but 100% she’s just never going to be as good as gorgo. so that’s how it goes

you have a commander that dose 4600 skill damage and you use arch formation , you are missing big power spike here this is like 101 , also your gear is not great , as nowadays gear people have like all V gear and the right formation bro , i never lost vs in archer rally in my kvk even while been swarmed . maybe thats why

Cav can't be the best at everything. they have been the kings of open field for almost too long. I also perceived cavalries move speed and mobility as it's advantage in the open field

In my last kvk we had many garrisons with eleanor/Jan or Eleanor/Hera and we had very good reports against rallies. But her Skills seem weak compared to gorgo or the new archers

How much KP did u do this kvk?

I get the thought process behind using arch cavs but gotta work with her strengths forget arch for cavs.

Totally get it man, I have max gear for both cavs and inf, 4 specials for cav but I still don’t do cav rallies/garrisons. I raw swarmed 1606s max equipment elenelor hera, didn’t trade positive but managed to burn the flag. Tired that on a building flag with gorgo hera and got smashed. Cavs just aren’t it to rally/garrison. Inf on the other hand has best rally/garrison atm.

Your gear is not good enough for you to be running a garrison. To even consider it as an option you need to have atleast 1 divine might and all level 5 everything else. At this point in the meta the differences in performance are pretty significant. I am in high A seed and ran her with Hera against max gear players and she did great. Even took double rallies. But with no field no garrison is optimal. She punishes rallies more than just about any other garrison that isn’t in an artifact (Gorgo/Atilla) but she shines in more 1v1 fights against a rally. No Cav garrison loves a swarm. That’s for infantry commanders broadly.
