How do you find the FT710 on CW TX, do you use a straight key or paddle? i have heard that some ops find the internal keyer to be difficult to set up to their liking…?
The K3 has a much quieter and lower noise floor overall. I just sold my 101D due to its poor ergonomics and being more susceptible to noise in general. IMHO. Picked up an RGO One and it is an excellent super-het simple quiet radio.
John do you read and reply to your comments? You should because it would be a big help if you could tell me if this radio has the capability to record continuously in ONE FILE on the SD Card for a long time. I know you've never done that, but you might know the answer. On the 7300 I can record until the card fills up. In fact, I often record for 8 hours at a time in ONE file without it being split up into multiple files (after you set the settings correctly in the 7300). Again, I know you've never done this. But it would be helpful if you could find out since you have one. Thanks in advance!
@@johnwofford2708 Thank you that's so kind. Much appreciated. I record every single QSO as if it were a QSL card for posterity : ) Not to mention as a long time SWL that still SWLs I often record 8 to 10 hour periods to hunt rare DX broadcasting stations. I find the 7300 perfect for that. But the Yaesu models truly do have better receivers. But the deal breaker for me is the recording time of the SD card.
