Awesome video! I'm thinking of getting this rig. I like all the available adjustments. Can you recommend the best place to purchase this rig? Also, has anyone performed Transmit IMD tests on this rig? 73 de WA3RSL
Well that's sounding good enuf for me. I'm looking at buying one in a couple of days. I'm reviewing as many newer videos of these USDX+, today. Thanks again.
Very good video. Just got my FT-107 3 days ago. Appreciate you taking the time to show us your transmit audio settings. I will give them a try. God Bless de KQ1K.
Great video, John, and very informative. I use my 710 primarily for CW at our beach cottage or for POTA activations. I now have a better understanding of the CW settings thanks to you. Keep 'em coming es 73!
somehow my radio shows a spike on the Spectrum Analyser when PTT is pressed... but nothing is seen on the Websdr... what could be going wrong? help will be highly appreciated!!
You da man! I have followed your link in description and went up one level - wow. The complete manual for the build and operation. With full instructions. I am impressed. You have been a great help in getting me acquainted with my new purchase of this radio. Than you. Subscribed and liked. 73s from NZ, ZL3AXL.

I have just started coming on CW using paddles and my FT-710. I had been annoyed by the increase in noise while switching from SSB to CW-L. Using the NAR button as you suggested is helpful in reducing the noise. Thank you. 73 de Jon, VU2JO
I would like to download and install the new firmware, but the download link does not work for me - I get a 183kB rar file, that I cannot open. Please help ..... Problem solved, use 7-zip to unzip the rar file.
The K3 has a much quieter and lower noise floor overall. I just sold my 101D due to its poor ergonomics and being more susceptible to noise in general. IMHO. Picked up an RGO One and it is an excellent super-het simple quiet radio.
Nice concise explanations. Thank you I have a question; what adapter are you using and with which mic or headset? I notice the yellow plug and know that is not standard issue. I am trying to get my Yamaha CM500 to work with the 710 so I am adapter shopping. 73 KN6ZVI
Is my understanding that you "tune" the SWR by merely winding the chalkline wire in or out correct? Wow! Also, have you tried this antenna on your little uSDX+ QRP unit?
Perfect. Thank you. Just about to have a CW Fists Sked at the club shack. There is a 710 there that I haven’t used before so this is extremely helpful. I’ll let you know how I get on 😊 73 M0YZX
I have owned both. My home HVAC generates brutal noise since my antennas are located in the attic. Bottom line: the Yaesu receiver by far achieves better results. But I loved the 7300.
Thanks for sharing this video! Is the memory recordings useful to see how you will sound over the air after tinkering with the EQ’s? Just wondering if that’s a good tool to help dial in the EQ settings. Thanks 73!
Hi John, thanks for the concise video. I am thinking about buying one of these to use with my IC-7300. Are you still as pleased with the amps performance as you were when you made the video?
