As a Canadian and U.S Naturalized citizen, those same people exist in Canada in the rural areas, don't fool yourself. They are just not shown on news networks that beams the image around the world for everyone to see, Canadian news is national and local.
American is like that cool kid in high school that everyone revered, looked up to, and wanted to emulate... but then you meet them randomly on the street 15 years later when you’ve matured, grown up, and everyone else has grown up... but they’re sadly still the exact same person clinging on to the only way they know how to stay relevant. As a Floridian, I'm Soooo sorry everyone. I voted, the state went the wrong way. Thank GOD the right person won. Gerrymandering is a serious issue, and it needs to be stopped. It made MY votes not count in a swing state.
Canada and the USA were formed in similar ways -- subjects of Christian European Monarchs unwilling to respect their own rule of law or treaties they signed. The biggest disagreements in the colonies were around the willingness to pay taxes and/or pay for labour.
