Yeah, even if you set aside the fact that Trump is worse than useless, any decent president would be bending over backwards to thank and congratulate the actual scientists who did the actual work, and maybe the people who volunteered. The fact that he is taking credit for something he played absolutely no part in just shows how narcissistic and classless this clown is. If you want people to like you as a leader, being modest is actually really helpful. I can understand his desperate need for approval from others, but if others approving of him were so important to him, you think he'd actually......become likeable?

@@emort6 Funny, I could have sworn the blame was to fall with those who spent the crucial early stages of the pandemic calling it a hoax, protesting the use of masks, delaying any shutdown or lockdown measures to try to defend the economy, baselessly blaming foreign powers to pass the buck, holding up relief that could have helped people isolate better in the republican held senate, refusing to commit to preventative measures that helped other nations to not lose 300k people and counting, passed on the chance to get access to higher numbers of the emerging vaccine thus ensuring we will be trapped in this situation longer, and still actively held superspreader rallies that prolonged the virus. Or maybe it was the spiteful actions of cutting funding to the CDC, draining money from healthcare, and in some instances actually working to repeal it. Although, burning the pandemic playbook and scuttering experts who could be 'hired back any time' may have had something to do with it. All of which was done to burn Obama era safeguards, plans and tactics all while never having a plan to replace them. It is almost as if trying to blame China or Democrats is just the brainless and intentional denial of the facts that a tinkertoys dictator and his cronies have been sabotaging efforts to contain and defeat the virus through their ignorance, greed and apathy to anybody not in the club.

That is the best part, the GOP has insisted time and again that the electoral college still makes sense as a means of presidential election, but now they have a problem with the results of yesterdays electoral college results? Sounds to me like its time to abolish that antiquated election method and base the winner on the popular vote like every other logical country does.
