Thank you Mr Xulu for the clarity, the truth will one day come out and those judges will have to answer. What was done to President Zuma was wrong in whichever way one can look at it.

I concur with Mr Xulu' opinion that the process followed by the Constitutional Court of making itself a Court of first and last instance inevitably denied Zuma his fundamental constitutional right of appeal and indeed that part of appeal in section 47(1)(e) does not apply in the case of Zuma...we are awaiting with bated breath as to how the Constitutional Court is going to address its mess in this case...

The "extraordinary measures" taken to imprison President Zuma are turning out to be outside of the ambits of law?? I am shocked!😢

The sentencing of Zuma in the first place is questionable. Constitutional court may have been irrational in applying the sentence.

Zuma's imprisonment was purely political, Zondo and his cabal were simply settling political scores which is why he was later rewarded with a position that makes him feel like a demi-God.

WHATEVER THEY SAY, OR INTERPRET THE CONSTITUTION, THERE IS NO WAY ZUMA CAN BE IN A SITUATION ACCEPTABLE. THE FACT HE WAS NOT ALLOWED TO APPEAL IS NOT TRUE AS WE ALL KNOW THAT HE WAS SENTENCED AT THE CONCOURT, WHICH IS THE HIGHEST COURTA ND THEY ALLOWED HIM TO APPEAL, ALTHOUGHT NOT WITH THE WORD "APPEAL". THE FACT HE WAS SENTENCED AT THE CONCOURT WITHOUT A TRIAL WAS DUE TO THE CONTEMPT OF COURT AT THAT COURT. CONTEMPT OF COURT DOESN'T REQUIRE TRIAL AS IT IS BASED ON CLEAR EVIDENCES. IN SOME SITUATIONS CONTEMPT OF COURT LEADS TO PRISON IMMEDIATELY. IN OTHER WORDS, THE ELECTORAL COURT IS OVERWRITING THE DECISON OF THE CONCOURT ON ZUMA.

So if all this mess around Zuma arrest was wrongfully done does this mean He must go to jail again this time without the ANC intervention?

They erred, in my opinion. I am interested in how the Con Court will look at it. There are a lot of definitions thar need to be looked at to qualify their judgment.

When Zuma refused to appear before Zondo, coz Zondo had refused to recuse himself as requested by Zuma, Zondo took it personally. Instead of opening a case of contempt of court with a magistrate court, Zondo approached his friends at the constitutional court to get a summons against Zuma. As a result, Zuma was convicted by the constitutional court without an option for an appeal. The constitutional court that is supposed to protect the rights of citizens was used to do the opposite. It is very sad that there was no outcry from the legal fraternity!!! The riots that followed Zuma's incarceration were a spontaneous reaction by the masses to a perceived injustice metted out to Zuma. Zondo should be regarded as the chief Instigator of the riots!!

So, our law is flawed, the constitution unconstitutional, then or now.

This guy was introduced as the legal expert, but sounds more like an MK party legal expert. Mr Zuma was given opportunity to make submissions and he didnot take that opportunity.

This analyst did not read the judgement properly. As a result, he is misleading viewers.

This ruling about conviction and appeal is weak; The concourt will easily dismiss it; This is the question that raises; Are you then saying that the Constitutional Court cannot impose a sentence on anyone? Also, if the Constitutional Court sentences a person are you saying that person can enjoy priviledges afforded to non-convicted people on the basis that they could not appeal?
