I like the video, aside from the weird buzzing noise when you were reinstalling the back wheel. It was informative and showed actual issues that I would likely face. Why wife has a similarly styled comfirt bike (26" Easy Rider from Walmart). So I think that this kit won't TOTALLY fit hers either. However, you have 2 very stable points of contact, so I think a heavy duty cable tie (tie wrap) through the top hole and around the upper support arm would be sufficient to prevent the motor from rattling loose. Just make sure to keep tightening your bolts and use BLUE (marine) LOCTITE! Loctite is your friend
Great video , all these kits take some tinkering to fit as does anything with universal on it lol , just bought one to fit to my daughter's bike , please fit an e bike brake with the power cut off , the Chinese thumb and twist throttles can and do fail sometimes with the throttle full on ( videos on RU-vid where one of the little magnets in the throttle came loose and stuck to the hall sensor ) giving the controller a full on signal so at least the brake will cut off power to the motor
All of the pretentious ebike snobs laugh and make jokes about these left chain drive conversion kits and it's hard to get any real feedback about how effective they are without all the condescending critiques but for some of us who have to choose between groceries rent and medications without having to sacrifice one of the others $1,000 for for a nice conversion kit is not even within the realm of possibilities without being extremely irresponsible.
You could probably find a good second hand hub motor with wheel for much cheaper than this kit, use that in conjunction with a chinese speed controller kit. It'll probably last longer than this kit, these types of electric motors just aren't meant for any kind of serious use. That rubber bushing solution this kit uses to mount the sprocket just isn't up to scratch.
What batter connector you choose xt60 or 90? I want to try the same set up you have. For the bottom of the bracket, you can try using a thin strip of metal bended u shape and bolt up to the top hole of the bracket. Or zip tie hahaha
Sorry replying so late. The front wheel hub didn't work that great, power and torque was not there. Plus it does not free spin easily, so it have some tension when you pedal. This ebike kit come with free spin bearing, so it feel like stock when you pedal without the electric.
Forgive me, I’m an anti-umh person, so I will try & view the rest of your video with the audio in mute! Hope you fine tune your presentation in your endeavors.
