There are "making of..." videos of most of their videos, which are just awesome, as they are showing how much work they are putting in and how much fun they are having.
I were at there concert in Leipzig and it was the best concert in my life - for far. Full of energy! Fantastic ligjht-show including LED-Walls and a very special 90's pop music part in the middle. Also the croud was amazing, everybody jumped and clapped from the beginning till the end. Right after this I directly booked the next live show.
greatings from germany....since my teenage years EC is my favorite band. It s funny to see how everybody has the same emotions during hear a EC song (btw the same emotions i had).
Germany? Wow, thank you so much for the comment! Any other bands like this over there you could recommend would be awesome! This band has been so much fun to react to.
If you haven't already, you guys should check out We Butter the Bread with BUtter (WBTBWB), another 'crazy metal' band from Germany. The song 20 km/h is especially good!
Saw them in March and some of their songs are even better live. Even if you're not the jump around and sing along kind of person, you will be a few songs in. That's just the energy they bring and they even dress up with the video outfits for the crowd favorites like Hypa Hypa, Pump It and We Got The Moves. You should definitely check out some live videos. Nice reaction! It's always fun to see people go down the EC rabbit hole.
I've seen them live twice, they filled stadiums this year in europe, and they do their US tour this summer/fall, amazing live performance and also with their costumes!! 10 out of 10! Better grab yourself some tickets in the US, if they are nearby!
This was the introduction of Nico as the new clean singer after the original lead singer Sushi had left to start his solo project Ghostkid and them testing peoples response to the silly comedic trance core style . The older stuff is mostly metalcore/ post hardcore, most of the time with a humorous attempt. As other people have commented before, there are seven official variations of this song either done by artists from other genres or at least featuring on a rendition by Electric Callboy. they have an announcement video in which they explain how and why that happened, all the new versions are getting teased for a few seconds: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fkAjjs-9Rg0.html It's in German with permanent English subtitles; Sasha, the guest singer of the pop version, has a cameo in it. Hypa Hypa live (preferably the Cologne Lanxess Arena Tekkno Tour 2023 version) gives an impression of them and the crowd during their shows. But that is only a filler for We Got The Moves (as always, video before live), which is just a masterpiece and, in my opinion their no.1 crowd participation song. The dance crew at the end are a bunch of befriended youtubers/ streamers/ gamers. The leader in the light blond wig, Kalle aka Kalle Koschinsky, also appeared in MC Thunder II - Dancing Like A Ninja and starred in Arrow Of Love. They even recorded a song together, Castrop X Spandau. The guy in the dark curly wig and the glitter jacket is HandOfBlood (aka Hänno), he starred in the videos for MC Thunder (2017, Sushi era) and MC Thunder II (by the way, it's M C not Mac).
It gives many other Versions from hypa hypa. One is from Saltatio Mortis, feat. Electric Callboy. It's a very good one. And life have they the same Energie And a good Interaktion with the audience. They freak out, every time.
Electric Callboy is a treasure trove of utter genius. Their songs are all bangers and their videos are the funniest and most creative out there. But they can also rip your heart out with serious songs like 'Mindreader' or 'Prism'. What a band.
They have done two collaborations with a German country band called The Bosshoss They did a country cover of Hypa Hypa and Electric Callboy did a guest spot on "Nice but No" a recent song on their latest album. Tank the Tech said the band Bosshoss were more country than most of the stuff in the country scene in Nashville where he is based.
They are not genre shy, there are 7 or 8 covers with EC of this song in different styles. Saw them live in March, they were even better than anticipated! Amazingly tight, the screams are good, the clean singing the same as on the studio recordings. 10/10 recommend to friends ;)
It was done during covid, no tours and gigs so they ended up making 7 versions of hypa hypa with 7 differen bands/artist covering 7 differen genres. Great stuff! They will be in the us in September. If you get the Chance go. Great Show, the penis piano and Frozen Cover is so spezialisiert, especially because EVERYBODY knows the text and sings along.....
@@rockerandtherebel i think if you miss this tour it’s gonna be a loss, sure they’ll do some of these songs in a future one. But this one is just great.
Best news, they are coming to America in late summer (after European summer festival dates. I saw them in Austria at a smaller hall while on vacation and there is some good audience participation callback vocals that I hope happens here in America as well), but tickets are going fast. I am going to Denver show, and the venue was increased from a 1,000 capacity venue to a 3,000 venue so demand is there. In Europe they have a huge video wall with lyrics and video during show, but am not sure if they bring that to USA because the voltage for screen is different? But yean, go check them out!!
They are a banger live. They also are very quick to change silly headwears and jackets between songs, so you get all the nice hairs accorings to the songs *g
Have fun going down this rabbit hole. Not a bad song in their repertoire since Hypa Hypa, and most before that with their old singer too! I saw them live a month ago and it was one of if not the best concert I've ever been to. They're insanely talented and really know how to work the crowd. Nico's singing and Kevins screams are on point and the rest of the band and production is top quality too. I was competely sweaty after the third song and they played for almost 2 hours😂 The only other concert I can compare fun-wise was the gd Foo Fighters in like... 2012? Or something around that. Definitely check out some of their live videos on their channel.
