There's nothing like the first time... Well not really it gets way better. Like when I turn this thing up from 52% to 100% haha. I do remember my first while though it was way fun.
@@DevinLindstrom I Still remember turning super slowing scared of 10kw power, Now I just do gravel donut turns with 15kw half the time. Enjoy the bike and keep uploading, interested to see how much fun you can have with it.
That system would be so much fun on a CR 125 or CR 250 frame. I have the 2019 ktm freeride e-xc and the Alta redshift, So much fun and headache-free, I hardly ride my KX 450 F anymore.
I'll post some videos of my next build once I have time to work on it. It's going to be a zero 75-7 motor with a sevcon gen 4 size 6 controller all on a KX250f. At 94v and max 660a I will have a peak power around 61kw. Should be stupid fast... Like double the Alta.
Welcome. I have some qiestion about this awesome project. 1. What do you think about this engine? (Qs138 70h)? Is this a good choice? can you recommend? 2. Do you measure the temperature? 3. Can you overheat this engine? 4. torque is enaught?
Hey Devin. Im considering to buy this or the 4kw version or the Cyclone 18kw. They say 3kw and 4kw. But it seems everyone are pushing these faar harder. Is 14kw the hardest you have gone? What amp and volt did you have then? You think this 3kw engine can be pushed beyond 14kw?
So I'm the video I think I was at 200a and 60v. It would barely even get warm after riding around for 20 min. I would guess this motor, the 3kw version, can easily do 20kw regularly. I haven't pushed it beyond 14kw but it's up to the challenge I'm about to give it.
@@PotaTW no this one is a 72v 260a usually but the program was unlocked so I can push it further in the settings. I could beef things up inside of it though. I'll see how warm it gets once I start to push it.
Just curious what kind of runtimes you are getting and with what battery, controller settings, etc? Also, I understand that you haven’t, at least in your videos, run the bike with your intended final battery setup. Keep the updates coming!
If I'm putting around with the kiddos about 45 min but when I'm pushing it about 20 min. I have 21700 cells on their way to me right now. 374 of them making a battery about 6.5 kwh, 7 times the size of the one in it now. Currently the bike is at 60v and 200a though the battery has a rating of 160a so not sure I'm reaching that. In the end it will be pushed to 22s (92.4v max) and 350a DC max draw.
Devin Lindstrom the last videos you werent showing the true potential of the setup, have you got any recent videos showing how fast it goes with pull voltages and amps ? Also what front and rear sprockets do u have on there
@@mun33y sorry I missed you question. I haven't pushed it any higher yet. I'm super busy with my dental practice but trying to get the battery built. I think I'm running a 14t and 58t but I honestly can't remember right now. I'll look and let you know if I'm way off. :)
