When my legs and lungs give up I know know there is hope and in years to come battery technology will get better and these bikes will come down in price
I am shocked that your bike chain did not disintegrate from all that power. This is one of the most underappreciated builds i've seen, so i'd like to give you props now. Excellent job!!
When traveling at these speeds, 'Remember, RED BULL gives you wings. But' what makes up the ingredients? is what stings. May you live long and prosper.
That varies widely, it's like seeing a car outside and asking what would it cost. It cost me 600$ for a hub motor setup (easiest to do). I don't go as fast as this guy, just over 50kph. Range varies, but I have ridden for 40 kilometers with pedaling before. Check out the endless-sphere facebook page, lot's of build pictures and ideas there!
Hey man, first of all, sorry for my bad english :D. I just got one question for you, what kind of motor do you use in your bike? I would like to know because i have a bicicle downhill type... and it would really nice that you help me to do the same :D
I'm more interested in single speed (gear-wise) EVs like Tesla Roadster S. Sure the top speed is only 125 or so but the torque, it's incredible :) And not having to shift is brilliant!
That's freaking fast. I got a farbike aka Xtreme xb. I want more power or a awd how can I convert the front hub into an already built on rear hub? And do I need a strong battery or 300 watt is good?
8000watts at the end? Respect! Aren't you afraid your chain/dérailleur is going to snap or something? I can imaging some huge forces pulling at it when changing gears?
hehe electric motors don't shift, it's why electric cars have one gear - drive :P constant torque right up to high speed. At the moment electric cars are premature technology but they have the potential to be faster than petrol cars. We just need better energy system as batteries are too heavy and limited.
can you do a emergency braking at this speeds ? make sure you invest some money in proper brakes and proper tires . Tires like the City jet puncture protection which are like Slicks ,very sticky and they might increase your top speed to 70 mph . and some good 180 mm disc brakes . The reason I'm sending this comment I've crashed my 1000w e-bike , my brakes simply become unsuitable . Now I prefer to stick with 250w e bikes Message from bike Builder to Bike Builder watch?v=CTsVRTtumQQ
There is no sense DH bike that is e-powered, people are trying to make DH bikes as lightweight as possible and you have one decent frame and fork and you are ruining it.....
