finally someone who understands HOW good ELO is, timeless and truly soul-impacting. i've been listening to them for more than 40 years now, especially when life puts me on a rollercoaster and i don't know how to manage my emotions. ELO always has a remedy-song. just SO good and so SPECIAL. although i love all of their songs, i am most in love with their album 'time' which is best to be listenend to in one earbinging sit. and yes, concerte for a rainy day is also out of this world. cant wait for you to get more happiness by ELO

Hey Mark, this was used in the movie Austin Powers Goldmember, the Bee Gees song from Short Circuit was More Than a Woman which was also from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. ELO are epic, so many great songs, Livin Thing, Turn to Stone, Strange Magic, Mr Blue Sky, 10538 Overture, Telephone Line, Tightrope, Don't Bring Me Down, Jungle and so many more.

Hey MH, if you're going ELO, you have to do "Concerto For A Rainy Day" from their 1977 album "Out Of The Blue". It consists of four connected songs - the awe inspiring "Standin' In The Rain" (this will totally blow your mind!), the beautiful ballad "Big Wheels", the catchy "Summer And Lightning" and ends on the world renowned anthem "Mr Blue Sky". The theme is (obviously!) the weather and how it affects your mood and outlook. Whole thing is 19 minutes long, but you've done longer Floyd numbers!! 😉 Trust me on this one, mate - it'll absolutely blow you away. Seriously. 🤟

Oh good, you've found ELO🙂. Unique sounding band, many hits back in the day...Sweet Talking Woman, Living Thing, All over the World and, of course, Mr Blue Sky although would suggest listening to the whole piece, Concerto for a Rainy Day, to get the full effect. You'll love them.

Interesting track from Electric Light Orchestra aka ELO! I’ve heard of this song before and I never knew it was performed by them as the radio 📻 didn’t tell what artists are. The first time I’ve heard of the band is when I heard their song called “Mr. Blue Sky” and I’ve even listened to the remix of it featuring Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” and it’s in my playlist. Confusion is another ELO track released as a single from the 1979 album Discovery. ELO is a band with lots of great tracks, hardly any fillers on their albums due to Jeff Lynne's sonic expertise and excellent songwriting skills. I also think ELO were a very influential band. Cheers from Germany.

I can picture Mr. Brain Squeeze leaping around in pink tights....& jamming with a cello. I remember at least a couple of those guys played the cello like that. Either leotards or tights...LOL. This is the track that got me started on the ELO trail. I remember being eight years old, riding with my aunt back to her house from my bus stop (she would pick me up when my bus would drop me off and keep me until Mom got off work). WING in Dayton, Ohio, playing the hot hits of the day and in 1975 this was one of them. I was like, "What the fuck is that, Aunt Phyllis?!" Except I wouldn't say "Aunt". It was just "Phyllis" between us. She would, after all, make me a bourbon and cola just for the asking. Still my favorite ELO track.
