Gracie, another great ELO song, another great reaction from you! I love how you replay your favorite parts of the song--I know of only one other reaction channel that does that (Reaction In Action). Next from ELO, please react to their 1975 hit song, *"Evil Woman".* You'll love it! It was the first ELO song I ever heard, and I instantly fell in love with the band! Make sure to use the studio version of the song. The music videos often get blocked and they're not necessary. Just enjoy listening! Later on, we'll give you links to actual live performances, but for now, just the studio cuts is the best way to go. That's how we all experienced the music back in the day, and I know you'll love just listening without any visual distractions, as well. Please use the VEVO link (it says VEVO in the thumbnail) from the ELO RU-vid channel, as it includes the song's Intro which other versions do not. That VEVO link you want is 4 minutes and 32 seconds long, and has a thumbnail photo of the Face The Music album cover, featuring an electric chair. (Don't use the "live" VEVO video that shows Jeff Lynne on guitar, that's for later, after you've reacted to the studio version.) Cheers!
When this song was released it was a particularly hot summer here in the UK, it was played almost constantly on the radio and captured the feel and enjoyment of that special summer, it`s their `signature song` and really is a happy jolly song, absolutaly love it and everything ELO have done,
'Sweet Talkin' Woman' 'Confusion' 'Wild West Hero' 'Shine a Little Love' 'Living Thing' 'Turn To Stone' 'The Diary Of Horace Wimp' 'Rock 'n' Roll Is King' 'Hold On Tight' 'Calling America' 'All Over The World' 'Last Train To London' Are just a few others you could try.
Fun song Gracie. I enjoyed watching you enjoy it. There's a flash mob video of this song from Cork Ireland that's one of my favorites. People just enjoying themselves and the song.😊
You listened to the super-abbreviated version (which until fairly recently I didn't even know existed). What you listened to wasn't really live, either, since they just used part of the studio version to lip-sync it. When you get a chance, listen to the studio version, which was also the radio-airplay version. It's much, much better.
Cool handle. LOL But hey, I gotta push back a bit on your characterization that this version is "super-abbreviated". It's not. The only thing missing from it is about 25 seconds of the instrumental ending. That may sound like a lot, and I agree that the full version is better, but the main part of the song is fully intact in the version she heard, and that's what most important. Just wanted to clarify that for her, so she didn't think she'd missed anything from the main part of the song.
