good job with what you had. i once saw in Thailand a man make a piston for a Vespa scooter that had shattered its piston, i did not think it would work but the thing started up and rode,, not sure how long for but the guy assured him he would get home and more no problem.
How are you getting 50 odd kmph. I'm running a chaos 48v 1600w. With same size wheels and smaller sprocket and I only get 39 kmph? I'm interested in getting the most out of this motor. Great build mate
I need a bldc motor to run between 30 to 3000 rpm with a load of 40 kgs for 30 min on low and 15 min on high rpm! can I use these types of bike motors without gear reduction? Do I need to use a dual motor for my needs?
Cool build.. but why would you wreck the rear tyre n inner tube? Seems pointless to me, now you have to source a new tyre etc.. get rid of the four lead acid batteries and swap them for a 48v lithium ion battery.. boost your range, your speed, quicker to charge, lighter to pick up etc.. plus swap out your sprocket on the motor for a larger one and decrease the rear sprocket by about 20 teeth.. more speed etc..
Tobhas Hadenuff lithium ion batterys can catch fire just by exposure to water! a marine or boat battery would be heavy but would end the need for 4 batteries and would last longer. my friend put one on a jeep powerwheels, and it drove my fat ass up a 60degree hill. at about 12 mph. perhaps a alternator could be mounted and set up to a pully on the opposite side of the rear wheel , and it would/should keep a decent charge on the battery. maybe get crafty and hook up some capacitors. that monster would probably lay down rubber as soon as ya sat down and twisted the throttle!
I'm doing a dual fuel moped build with a minimoto engine and electric motor both powering the rear wheel, I thought maybe fit a small car alternator fitted with a rubber wheel to the front forks on a cable brake using a splitter, when front brake applied the alternator would pull down onto the tyre and create voltage to charge batteries a bit.
what kind of motor did it come out of I have a electric dirt bike and I was wondering BTW I'm to big for it lol and I want to build something cool out of it
if a motor output shaft is rotated at high rpm when the motor is not powered and the vehicles wheel motion going downhill steeply is spinning the motor output shaft will this damage a motor and hall sensors on some motors in non regen mode? i thought about using the cyclone 1680w motor on a pit bike frame but worried the motor hall sensor might get damaged if spun at high rpm when not powered closed throttle
Hello i have bought a 1800w 48v motor recently and am struggling with finding a good battery i dont have that big of a budget could you please help me find a good motor?
Hi, you can find a good battery at AliExpress, Etario battery store. Recently I bought a lot of lithium batteries from them (48V 26Ah 2000W) and they are great for that kind of motor.
what batterys and sprocket are you using to for the 1800w motor. i recently bought a 1800w motor but i have a budget and i cant find any batterys that would work for under $400 please help
On that project I was using lead acid battery 4 x 12V 12Ah. Now on the drift trikes (2000W) I'm using lithium batteries 48V 26Ah 2000W. on the electric scooter they last around 20 - 25km... here maybe a little more because the less weight and less air resistance from the different sitting position... didn't try to empty them yet on the mini moto...
Hi my name Rodrigo friend I found your mini electric motor very incredible I would like to make an asim you could give me some tips because they are new in this and I do not know much about the speed controller I would be very grateful if it returns me as message I know that your video already has time in the air but the idea still inspires several people.
thanks, you can find all the parts on ebay or aliexpress... they sell kits wich include motor, controller and throttle... you can also find there batteries (4x12V)...
Great job didnt borrow any parts for frame but you really should've stole tripple clamps from a dirt bike that's extremely dangerous and the way you mounted those make shit handle bars beyond dangerous just find an old Chinese dirt bike and rob the front end
