This is an extremely good explanation by far the best explanation I've seen on utube on the concept of volts and voltage. It is a very thorough and concise explanation that covers all basis. Only issue is it will take lots of thought and reviewing to digest as its a lot of rich information. Others on utube have attempted to explain the concept of Volt and Voltage and fallen far short. It has been my observation that their explanations were designed to pass Monday's physics exam and nothing more. This explanation and video on the other hand is designed to really teach the concept of Volt and Voltage to the student and or curious life long learner. I am deeply grateful for your video and the great amount of thought and effort you have placed into its making and at the same time deeply dissapointed and saddened to see only 100 + views...and not one comment -
sir i have a doubt, if we vonsider a negative charging moving from negative to positive terminal, then is negative terminal considered as high potential and will it gain 'V' as it passes through cell?
Mr H,I would like to ask whether the voltage drop between points A-B and B-C will change after the addition of the second bulb from what it was in the first case with one bulb?
Love your courses!. Some Qs 1. Why do you refer to +ve charges moving and also energy required to move them from negative to positive terminal. Isn't it true that its the electrons that actually do the moving and that we need energy FROM positive to negative terminal? 2. You dont have tutorials on Magnetism and electromagnetism. Any reason why?
The conventional current flows from positive to negative and he is using the protons so that we understand clearly as if there were electrons on positive side they would attract each other and would cause confusion so to make things simple he did that
When you say that potential energy is lost due to external circuit, okay I get it, but we know that charge loses potential energy when it naturally moves by electric field's influence, right? So, in this case, does it, the second statement I mentioned, effect the loss of potential energy in an external circuit? Or is the loss only because of light bulb and stuff? pls answer
Mr H, How can we put V (Electric Potential at a single point in an electric field) equivalent to electric potential difference delta-v ( Which is the difference of electric potential b/w two points) and call it voltage. Point is that they are two different quantities..how their symbols can be same..or its convention thing?
