Hi, Just received our Elite pressure cooker and are going to use it today. Also want to thank you for this Video with additional information which has helped us understand more about this great product. We are excited!! Thank You Again. Lisa
Mine is a cooking Essentials brand a 4.22 qt. It's a perfect size to do jumbo size steam rice or all kinds of soups, new Orleans recipe ect. So nice. 🙂
I just got a 6 qt Elite pressure cooker and I was having trouble getting the lid on. I hoped this would help but the 6 qt lid goes on differently. I wish there were more videos. The guide is well and good but videos are so much better.
Thank you so much Allison and Be Blessed; I was scared to death of using this product. I am still tramatized from old pressure cooker fails per my parents 😂
thanks for this, the instructions didn't say anything about the condensation cup, and i have already started using it. . i hope that's not an issue . .
I have one of these as a hand-me-down and have used it several times. It's awesome. One thing I was curious about though. When you start it, what does RRP mean? Then it goes to PO after it's pressured up. What does that stand for?
Hey Allison , I use oil in my old pressure cooker to prepare my KFC chicken. my cooker is made of aluminum also !!! I see all these ''danger'' posted comments from people, about using oil in my pressure cooker, enough to make me leary of using my cooker !!! I've never had any problems and the chicken recipie is remarkable, ''but'', ''anyway'' I'm looking to buy a new one !!! can I use oil in this one safely ???......Thanks.........[p.s.] can hear you just fine.....................
Allison I bought the Elite 8 quart pressure cooker from a recommendation from a you tuber. I was so excited to get it last year around June but right after I got it my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer so I didn't do much cooking until around December of last year. I've tried using it about 5 times and I can not get it to come up to pressure. I went to the book and checked every suggestion for trouble shooting but nothing works I checked water levels, made sure it was to full, cleaned the seal etcetera it does get hot and steam shoots out but it doesn't come up to pressure enough to count down and then stuff starts burning on the bottom. I really really wanted to love this. My mom and Aunt was going to purchase one when I got mine but now they said no way. Any suggestions because I can only use as a crock pot at this point and I have three of those already! HELP
Same problem here. The sound was muffled at best. And I had mine hooked to a bookshelf stereo behind me. STILL couldn't hear it! Sad because reviews on these types of appliances are always nice before you buy them! Maybe you could take the video into an editor and just voice over what you already have instead of doing the whole video again?
Hi! I just got my new Elite Platinum pressure cooker and I have used it twice now. Lots of people say that you will hear hissing/see steam during the pressurizing phase but my pot releases just a little bit of steam constantly from the pressure limiting valve (not the float valve). I do have it set to airtight. Is it normal for the value to always be releasing some steam/hissing faintly throughout they whole cooking phase? I'm just trying to figure out if my valve is faulty! Thanks!
You should redo this, cause the sound is horrible. Not criticizing, but I really had to strain to hear her and I didn't get everything she said. Thanks.
You may want to look at your recipe on page 142 for the lasagna. Your recipe is all jacked up. The ingredients don't pan out in the instructions, you're calling for stuff that isn't in the ingredient list, you're not using things that's in the ingredient list, and your instructions are missing several key points. If you re-read it, they will stand out like a sore thumb. You may want to revise that particular recipe.
