The less-editing part is a welcome change. More cabin-based, life-based content is what I come for. Heavy editing is okay, but to me frequency of check ins is more enticing.

I don’t quite understand why you don’t have a regular refrigerator if you have all of that electrical power coming from that pole. Love all of the improvements you are making. You are certainly a hard worker.

Hi Alone. Glad you're getting those electrical hazards taken care of. They have drivable cable burying machines these days. Saves a lot of work and time. You can always have a subpanel electrival box if you ever need more circuits. Its fsr cheaper than getting a whole new electrical box. Thousands cheaper. Glad it's getting done. Main thing. Thanks for nice video...some time back You posted a video about stove pipe fire at Your house...Here is how to stop that..I burned wood for over 10 years, years ago and had 3 wood stoves and also had a stove pipe fire, very scary..here is how to stop that,,throw a hand full of rock salt, plain salt every day when burning wood and it will turn the bad stuff to like a cob web type substance and will fall off the inside of the pipe..try it its cheap thanks again for the fun and nice videos

It is pretty 'toasty' here in Tacoma, Washington, and fixing to get even more toasty; today, 89 degrees, then for the next 3 or 4 days, in the 90's. 🥵 Back when I was a young girl, the heat didn't bother me as much, but now that I'm 70, I would love to be up there in cooler Alaska.😊 I am really looking forward to seeing all the improvements and changes you will be doing at your home. It must be so wonderful to wake up in the mornings there, and experience the peaceful quiet, and just the sounds of nature. 😊 You are truly blessed. Oh so envious of the weather.. We have the same cold summer as last year, in the mid to high 50s. Even snow on the mountaintops just north of me. My poor tomatoes. I hope they last until I get my greenhouse built in the next couple of weeks. Waiting for the electric surveiller to mark where my neighbours electrical cable runs. Hopefully not under where I want the greenhouse to be built! About the electrical cables, I was digging myself and put down a plastic pipe, to prevent the cable to be damaged by gravel or a sharp object like a stone. The electrician just pulled the cable through the pipe from the main house. Very nice to get the electric system upgraded, you can sleep better at night! 🙂
Howdy Allie! Looking good!! I know the deal about all of the site work, and living in a construction zone. I'll be putting down the vinyl flooring in the mechanical room and bathroom of the Sky Cabin (formerly Tin Can... lol!) today, and running my solar power - connecting it from the panels to the inverter/charge controller and battery this weekend. I'll also start running the plumbing for the mechanical room and bathroom. It's always a challenge. Are you still working full time? I am, plus I have 4 of the dogs up here now, and the other 4 and my other vehicle coming up in September. Whew... LOL.
The climate is so bad right now it’s about 80° in Oregon and I’m headed to Gardner Montana in a week. I’m so worried because they’ve had 80s and 90s but it looks like it might be going down a little on my way to Yellowstone. Just got back last week from Mount Rainier and now it’s very hot there.
You could probably benefit from a small utility vehicle. The guys on Alaska Cabin adventure used his to hall his wood around. Not sure how much they are though.
