I have had this one cooking for a while but struggle to find the time to edit my videos. This is one of my jobs that gives a great example of what our homes will be like as we transition to an all electric home and future. I feature a Solaredge solar power system, a Tesla Powerwall, the Polestar battery electric vehicle from Volvo and the Pulsar Wallbox EV charging wall connector operated with the amazing ChargeHQ app.

Cool setup, I still need to add PV perhaps a battery at my place. I recommend adding a Chargehanger to your setup, helps to keep the charge cable from trailing on the floor.

Nice overview Jason, been in the off grid environment for nearly 6 years now, a plug in hybrid for most of it, and now a full EV for one year. 9.6kWp of solar and 35kWh battery storage, hasn't missed a beat the whole time. Expensive, but totally doable ! Solar is very addictive 🤠😎

Great overview, thanks. If only V2G was a requirement imposed on EV manufacturers. Why do governments encourage personal investment in solar when they continue to subsidise the fossil fuel industry and allowing them to get off without paying taxes?

I have a 11400H Solar Edge inverter and when I read Solar Edge’s FAQ it made it sound like the battery could work with the inverter however it would have to shut the battery with the grid due to the nature of the model inverter?

Looks like a nice set up 👍.. Is 5kw from solar enough to run a family home and charge a vehicle? What kind of average daily yield are you getting? Regards Tim

Hi Their consumption is fairly small and they produce around 50kw per day
