Great video today!, it may not seem important work right now but it is critical to the operation as a whole. You will have such a reference manual with all of the video footage you are making now to look back on later. Your last few videos of the planting , cattle market, and hay making are all good in that it is showing much more on what it actually takes to run a farm operation..... As Always Thank You for bringing us along on your journeys.....
Now some solar panels and the A5 will run almost for free😊, you gonna love those lights we got them also in the barn, thanks and greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
Thanks for the comment about the lights. We've never seen them before and they seem so small. How can they light up the whole barn? 🤔😊I guess that is the only draw back with this beautiful roof is that it would defeat the purpose of letting in light if you stuck solar panels on it. If we ever decide to replace it with steel that could be an option. Maybe we should put panels on the old barn?🤔
@@steveratajczak8345 Nothing for sure but I really don't want to have to put the cows back in the old barn this fall. There is still quite a bit to do and we have to wait on trades that are busy elsewhere. Hopefully things can get moving now that the electrical is progressing.
Great! Our nutritionist gave us the numbers for the best amount of lumines and we passed that info on to the electrician. This is what he suggested. Much nicer than those huge lights with tubes inside.
I know. I hope those tractors don't get too comfortable! Pouring rain tonight so it's nice to have a place for them when we are using them on this farm.
When it comes as a surprise to the client and the building inspector, that the el. installer has given and had bids with alternative materials accepted, one must think that the tender material did not describe a specific material for cables. It may be a weakness in the tender material and it may give unwanted worse competitive opportunities, other bidders have not seen that opportunity, so there has not really been a competition in offers. The changed material delivery may have an impact on durability and possible costly maintenance. From cars, it is known that aluminum corrodes in humid environments. Stable environments are environmentally a harsh environment. The building inspectorate's supervision of the construction and the consequences of the chosen electrical material should be investigated. the installation.
This is a standard option and the market is against copper right now. The electrical code allows aluminum to replace copper. This is not in the barn but below ground and well protected. It is all approved and inspected. This is our own electrician who we trust and have utmost confidence in. We hired him separate from the GC. Thanks for your concern😊
Aluminum is used for feeding panels all the time it's much lighter and less expensive than copper and lasts every bit as long. Aluminum was only used on the feeders not for the branch circuits as per the national energy code. The only thing I would have done differently is use some wire lube while pulling in the cables. These guys did a good job.
