Still one of my faves, I don't do videos to much on ped a ls anymore but I've been thinking of some interesting ways to use this. Might post just because. I'd get it get it though probably cheap on reverb. Cheers 🍻 and thanks for watching
As other people have stated,👍👍👍 on the time stamps being integral to the video. ... I have one of these & am slowly trying to chew my way through the instructions. Not only is this a good video, you are one of 3 people who have done any serious demo/instruction to this monster of a pedal. Looking forward to watching the rest of these. I'm finding this really helpful. I'm pretty familiar w/ all sorts of gear, but unpacking all of the different options in this thing is a little more challenging than I thought it would be. EHX has almost nothing meaningful about how this operates on their site. 🔥🔥🔥
Dan Davis This pedal has tons of potential hidden within. I got mine yesterday and played it for an hour or two and I’m thoroughly impressed. When you turn the blend all the way up it creates very convincing bowed sounds (absent of audible picking) in such bowed type settings. I got the Oceans 11 with it and these two pedals alone are excellent in combination.
Really great video. I don't mind all the yapping. It helped me realize that I need this for more simple stuff. I like the tracking abilities on the swell. The polyphonic is fun. Anyway, nice job.
Good video. I'm pretty savvy with pedals but this thing has me a bit overwhelmed and I haven't even tried using other pedals or the effects loop etc. This is a really gnarly pedal! And very feature rich for 125 bux!
The weird sounds at the end of the video are the "artifacts" they refer to in the instructions. I play primarily clean and even acoustic and I hate the artifacts they can be useful with fuzz/ distortion in a Hendrixian sort of way.
please use a microphone headset to amplify your voice. at times, it is difficult to hear what you are saying. I like the way you demonstrate the pedal, that's excellent. it would be even more excellent if I could hear what you are saying. thank you.
Great video! I'm totally with you on liking the strange sounds you can get out of pedals. You caught on to the mono mode not being very appropriate for slow strumming or arpeggios, but you missed that the poly mode was made for slow strumming, arpeggios, and otherwise combining multiple notes, and not so much for single notes and quickly strummed chords as in the mono mode. Might want to focus a bit on that next time.
+eti313 Thanks bro, I appreciate the feedback. Yeah I’ll be honest I kinda got lost in poly mode😅 Ima play some more with it and do another vid.Did you purchase this bad boy yet? I’ll be doing more gear stuff too by the way so stay tuned bro.
I'm discussing the order of one with my neighborhood music shop. Hope to have one by next week. I've wished for a long time that EHX would release the "attack" knob of the POG2 (or HOGs) and now they've done it, plus more! Been wanting this one ever since it was announced.
+eti313 That’s legit, that ATtack and Decay is what really had me like, huh? Lol In the instruction it mentions the how the poly does similar stuff like the POG but I had never played the POG. I hear it’s awesome though. I’ll focus more on that so you can hear more of it in my next video in a few days. You got the POG or HOG?
I did not I’ve messed with it a few times and I have a video on my channel we’re I created a texture with it. Would you be interested in seeing a video with that feature?
+Wick harr Thanks for watching! I would say if you a tonal explorer and have the patience for dialing in sounds yes! buy this there are some strange gems in it when it come down to tones. Although if you not adventurous some of the tones may feel unusable. I’m gonna be doing a few more shorter videos of no talking and just the tones soon.
I just wanna call this guy up & explain to him where the Goldilocks zones are in this pedal, haha, I'm sure it gets better, but I had to give up outta frustration, plus I'm looking for external clock triggering info, & I don't think he'll get to that.
It only took 11:28 minutes to get to hear the first of the guitar sounds. Thats pretty good compared to some of the other demos, like why?! why?? Just play gODdamn it! I mean are you reviewing your own gODdamn voice? We don't care!!!!!!!!! Play the damn pedal gODdamn it!
I get your frustration. That bothers me too. Which is why I stated in the video multiple times and left in the description TIME STAMPS exactly where I go over the specific sounds of the pedal... Thanks for Watching :)
