I bought one of these about 3 or 4 months ago, wow man, the amount of sounds it can create is amazing, sounds wonderful with a bass too. And it's not only about the clean and nice sounds it can create, but it's also good to create feedbacks and that kind of dirty sounds. Be advised that it's a bit hard to control, the knobs tend to be very sensible, but once you get the hang of it is pure magic... and if you're stoned... well... massive trip ensured.
Rumour is that Bill is just a pair of hands floating in midair. Nobody has ever seen more. At least not On RU-vid. That seems even more mysterious with these epitome soundscapes.
There are only a few who know how to appropriately and comprehensively demo effects pedals and you are the master of them all! Thank you for your efforts and I hope EHX rewards them commensurately!
Electro-Harmonix always come up with extremely musical pedals unlike a lot of stuff on the market always liked them , always will, from buying my first hand built Electric Mistress back in the late 70's I have never been disappointed by EHX gear and this one is now on my shopping list.
Really great pedal - save space on my pedalboard by not needing the separate units - what a lifesaver. Great demo as usual from Mr. Ruppert. His fingerings are awesome.
So very very very very very cool and awesome sounding... Impressive playing and so simple and yet GREAT WALL of SOUND! - Thanks for sharing and posting!
i love EHX so much! my dad passed on some of his pedals when i started (they were old but still worked) and i think they are fantastic! i really just want to buy lots of these and get creative with all the different sounds and textures! ^_^ these demos are so inspiring! :)
I just treated myself to the EHX Graphic Fuzz for my 51st Birthday. Never too old for more toys :0) Have you looked at the EHX B9 Organ effect pedal? That's now on my want list too !
SONGSTICKS Yes! That one is very nice! I enjoy using the POG2 for similar sounds. i love using mellotron/hammond keyboard sounds in my songs but its also fun to experiment with the different tones you can achieve using the guitar with EHX pedals :)
EH is surely special in imagination and quality, and Master Ruppert sure knows how to make a fellow drool. My kind of stuff; this is my next purchase. Thank you!
Oh, just great. Another pedal I HAVE to have. This thing sounds amazing, and the demo really brings it to life. Now, if only I could plunk down a few bucks, have one arrive at my door while I'm sleeping, and wake up the next day being able to play like this. Outstanding!
just got one, fantastic. it is weird and wonderful, so fun. you can do all the pretty stuff Bill does, but you can some really hysterical noises with it too. the configuration takes some getting used to, but it's how they get so much functionality in a simple design.
Just received mine today and I am using with a Martin 0-18 NY Acoustic Guitar w/ L.R. Baggs M-1 Pickup. I'll get back to you...I am already impressed. I have been using a Micro POG for over a year and this just seems to be the frosting I have been waiting for. Now I may be able to leave the other pedals at home and actually have greater capability. Thanks
It was the Epitome straight into the Kemper on a completely flat clean sound. It was a profile of a Fender amp with one 12 and a sm57 mic. EHX-Kemper-Console
funny, I've kept my pedals and multi-fx in storage since going to computer based recording, but wow am I missing out. the web is a wondferful thing: I'd never have enough time and quiet in a local shop to demo these. amazing stuff, folks. bravo!
6:15 the Electric Mistress : -) All the sounds after this are making me melt. :-)) Not only do you have to be a musician but a technical genius as well. These sounds coming forth are magnificent. Thanks for this demo of all the sounds from out of this world. Chillingly beautiful.:-)))
I am hearing just wonderful sounds from E-H here, a great demo of just some this pedals capabilities. Yet again E-H have hit another nail right on the head with this one love your pedals long live E-H.
i think i want one. i don't use pedals much, but when i do it would be nice to cover so much ground in just one pedal, but at the same time not being one of those over the top multi effects units.
I would like to try this with my blues harp set-up. Several guys use the POG to good affect and nearly always some sort of delay or verb. This has everything together.
I understand, friend, G.A.S. is a very serious addiction with many of us. It has ruined many good relationships over time but once your are hooked, it is untreatable and is a problem that everyone afflicted with G.A.S. must face up to and just suffer with it by buying more gear. EH is doing us a service by providing us with new and interesting gear so that for a time, at least, we can feel some relief... lol.
Kick-frickan-ass! gotta have it! just checking out your peddles...looks like I'm gonna have to build a rack setup instead of an hd 500x like I was planning....awesome peddles
There is definitely some magic going on Ehx pedal demos that I haven't figured out (yet). Maybe the pedal itself, or that Kemper profiling amp, and maybe Bill himself.
I am using this pedal with a Martin 0-18NY Acoustic guitar with a L, R, Baggs M1 pickup. Frankly I believe it sounds better on a wired acoustic than on an electric. But then I am 69 years old. I use the EHX POG the same way.
shame the released pedal only has one repeat in delay mode, unless im doing something wrong. i still lurrvvvv this pedal. cant believe i got a leslie sound from chorus and flange together. i didnt expect this and was playing "let it loose" for an hour. now onto "black hole sun"..... i heart EHX so much
Cool...I recognized sounds of 'Kashmir' and 'Parallels' in the demo......along with Chris Isaak, of course...and one could make an assault on a bunch of U2 sounds from the Unforgettable Fire era.
