Welcome to Electro-Harmonix, creators of the most iconic musical effects pedals such as the Big Muff Pi, POG, Memory Man & Small Clone.
Back in 1968, guitar amps were intentionally engineered to keep players from experimenting with distorted sounds. We changed all that. For over 50 years, Mike Matthews and EHX have been proud to contribute to many of the most famous recordings in music history.
I’m a guitar player and I’ve used this pedal (earlier versions) for decades. And for 90% of the time I had either an old Boss OC-2 or the EHX Octive Multiplexer in front of it. Distortion switch engaged of course. Tonal bliss! I used to call it my signature sound, because nobody else was using it and I used it for at least 35% of all my solos. Sometimes I added the EHX Frequency Analizer as well. Bit of delay at the end. Tiny bit of overdrive in front. Whatever you add, it all works. But the combination of the octave pedal into the bassballs in dist mode, it cuts through everything! I swear, If I would’ve become a successful guitarist, this would’ve been my signature sound. And I’m still proud of it. To this day people are pleasantly surprised when they hear that nasty sound. 😬😬😬🧡🧡🧡
Metal Muff Nano, it's an amazing pedal especially through my Marshalls, AMAZING! Ram's Head is my favorite but that Metal Nano is criminally underrated, it's a beast and sounds sooooooo much better in person than on RU-vid.
I just ordered one from Sweetwater. They only had 3 in stock! I can not wait to throw this in front of some overdrive and fuzz pedals. It will be a sweet addition to my pedal arsenal. 🤘EHX RULES!
EHX RULES!! My first EHX was an LPB1 The little box with a jack sticking out of it. It plugged directly into the amp. That was 1976. Wish I still had it.
