I don't know why, but on RU-vid everyone turns the rate up full and plays most of the demo like that - its a sound that'd get you kicked out of any band! This pedal is good, lots of top end definition and it lacks the swarm of hornets swirling around I hear in the Boss CE-2.
This pedal is too groovy! I play experimental/mathrock so this pedal will add some flavor to my rig. The sounds are just waay too interesting, i'd probably spend weeks playing with this thing!
Porra. 3 anos de meditação transcendental e yoga para me livrar da porra da gas e de desejos materialistas e me deparo com esse aparato maravilhoso dos deuses. Oooommmmmmmmmm
if you're looking for more of a leslie tone go with the soul vibe for or if you have the money get a univibe but if you're looking for a versatile pedal this is a really nice pedal great tone setting at the end
Modulation effects interract in unpredictable ways with the clean signals due to phase interactions. In fact that's almost entirely what already makes a flanger a flanger and a chorus a chorus. You should be adjusting the effect's severity with the depth controls.
I see a lot of negative comments here, and while I understand why it's easy to hit the thumbs down button, I do see what dirtypaper is saying. It's not just flangers, chorus, and phasers, it's the way they're used in most band situations. For every subtle player like David Gilmour, or even Hendrix who push the effect only as far as where it compliments the song and remains somewhat transparent, theres enough shitty punk and rock bands that way over do it and ruin the sound for other players. :p
What you need to keep in mind when listening to reviews is what gear is being used during the demo. I'm gonna guess that not many people rock 65 amps because they're expensive. This sounds great on many amps I've used it on but just keep in mind the amp's characteristics.
Hey Andy, would you reccommend a chorus like the small clone or a mistress flanger for a gilmoury tone? the differences between the two types of effects seem near same to me but i have bad hearing compared to your ear for tone
Checked and confirmed, no signal loss at any point. Actually, since I use a long chain of effects, the buffer makes the signal loss due to cable lenght completely nulified.
Im thinking about picking this up. I already have a vintage FL9 flanger and DOD FX 65 chorus. Both sound fantastic but im thinking the mistress can cover the same ground. Any thoughts? Would this be a good alternative to having 2 pedals?
So what's the hype on this pedal? Guess I'll find out, here I go. Hmm, very bright and nice chorus so far. With Chorus at 3:00 and too much Rate it can be a bit much. I love the setting at video time 2:24! Not to impressed with the Flange though, but then again I've never dug Flange. Wait a sec though, mixing them is kinda cool. The Filter Matrix mode can be useful I guess. Overall it's a pretty cool pedal, thanks again for the demo Andy, your favorite mode is killer sounding!
An guitar pedal will work with a bass, some better than others. But I have tried this specific pedal with bass, and it sound really awesome. Can be a very trippy sound or a subtle coloration.
That makes no sense,,, Delay effects are used in every form of modern music in one way or another... Alot of the time though subtlety is the key, I think thats where you are trying to make a point...
I like the sound of this box but it,s not like the original. what I like about this box is true by pass and it,s stereo.they make great stuff for years.thanks for posting.
