Electro-Harmonix STRING9 String Ensemble EHX with acoustic guitar

I'm currently using two effects interchangeably (I also had KEY9 and SYNTH9) and that's why at the beginning I split the guitar signal into two, and then pass one of them through the selected EHX.

Thanks. To make sure I understand, the PEDAL itself allows for both the clean (guitar) and effect (pedal) to both be audible? I do not want to invest in the pedal board as demonstrated here. which button on the pedal controls this function?

I think so. Before the effect, I also have a compressor, which allows for a slightly smaller attack. I add the sound of the effect smoothly using the volume pedal. Thanks to this, in parts of the song played "more aggressively", I can reduce the number of strings or even mute them completely, and add them where appropriate. In my opinion, this is a good effect and should give you a good and satisfying experience. Other than CloudBurst from Strymon which I also had. Both were interesting, but the Strymon did not combine well with the EHX B9 in sound, and I also wanted this effect. I play an electro-acoustic guitar, the effect may even be better on an electric one... I think. :) and what do you play?

@@bogaciludzie Thanks. I play electric (Telecaster) in a band with just bass and drums and was looking for a way to enhance slow songs. I also have the C9 pedal for organ sounds and I was frustrated with that one at first as well. Took me a while to get it dialed in to use with the band but I think I got it now. I currently run the output of the C9 directly into its own channel on my amp and run the C9 dry signal into the rest of my guitar effects. I'm thinking I'll put this before the C9 in the chain.

@@guitarman57 Great! My band consists of only two instruments - my guitar and bass. Of course, I was also looking for ways to make the sound more attractive. At the same time, the fact that I play in church also influences the type of sounds I expect. EHX B9 and STRING9 fit well into this. I also tried the other "nines", but these two at the moment combine best with the lyrical songs we play. I wish you good luck in taming the effect. Greetings from Poland!
