I Find it amazing how common tissues are the cause of a blockage. Glad to help :)

Thank you for uploading this vid kind sir, our ultra active just shut down due to suspected overheating. After replacing the filter the additonal suction power created a big POP sound... It had dislodged a stuck tissue down the pipe! After removing the tissue full power was restored... Thanks again

It in the manual. Heck, modern ones have this information even on the filter, especially when they are using washable filters. Anyway, as to contribute something positive as well: You will notice some reducing in vacuum power when the filter starts to get dirty (or something is blocking the airflow), this is similar to how vacuum cleaners with bags will have reduced power when their bags get full, but instead it applies to the filters. Once that happens, clean up and you are back to full power. Now this does not help me to repair my power button on my electrolux ucanimal, but hey, maybe my next search turns up with something useful on how the remove the power button to check the momentary switch.

Thank you for your video. I was stumped as to why it kept overheating and switching off. It turned out to be the foam part which must have got wet and caused the dust to create a solid film over it. Thanks again!

Thanks for this amazing tip. You're right, when I first purchased my bag less filter I was told there are no filter to worry about and so I did not have to purchase any further filters. Why can't they be a bit more honest about this. Please keep the uploading more of these trade tips.

Reading the manual is always a good Thing! :-) With my vacuum cleaner there was even a second filter in the box.

Hi. I hope to receive response to following question. I have a ultraone z8870 an auto vacuum is not working. I have to adjust the machine manually by button. Which part is responsible to measure or determine the suction resistance?

HI, if you remove all the cleaned filters and disconnect all the hosing, and it still stops from overheating, is the the brushes in the motor that are faulty? Do I need to replace the motor? Thanks

I have basically the same unit and Im amazed at all of the bad reviews of these units because people dont know how to maintain their cleaners. I thought it was common knowledge that to keep it running well, you must clean the filters. Clearly the dust goes somewhere. If you don't use it properly, dont expect it to work properly.

Yeah, well, the Manufacturer could do a better job of pointing out what to do; they could also make a video; or put a sticker on the machine. Most people aren't vacuum cleaner experts.

Great clip, but doesn't explain what to do if machine still wont turn on. Will it just need time to cool down perhaps? Thanks for the video

Thanks, my electrolux just stopped suddenly. I thought just by emptying the dust container would be enough. Never occurred to me that I have to clean the filter to. Upon checking I found a thick layer of super fine dust on it. Hopefully it will work just fine later after it cooled down. Isn't it irony, when you clean something you will get something else dirty.

Got an electrolux vacumn that shuts off by itself, the faster the RPM, the sooner it shuts off after running. Very likely a temperature problem. But even if I remove the insulator on the ST BTB12-600BW triac, which should lower the temp significantly, the problem still persist. If I short pins marked red, the motor runs at full speed and won't shut itself off, or respond to the on/off button. What could be wrong? Attached PCB image for diagnosis. imgur.com/a/4ypb0

Do people really not even have enough common curtsy to empty these machines before they bring them in?

Steer clear from these cheapass garbage vacuums. There are very decent vacuums on the market, but this thing is just crap
